Do you enjoy yoga AND the outdoors? If so, The Nature of Yoga is for you!
As living beings, we share an energetic connection with the world around us but the busyness of life can often get in the way of our awareness. This 8-week self-paced course is designed to help us reconnect to nature and to our vitality.
Each week you will learn about a limb of yoga, make connections with the natural world, complete an outdoor yoga practice, and reflect on your experience.
This journey is designed to reignite your connection with nature and guide you in creating a nature-infused yoga practice that you can take with you into the future. And it’s open to anyone who is interested in nature, sustainability, and the mind-body-spirit connection of yoga - whether you are a beginner or experienced yoga practitioner.
Each week you will receive:
🌷 Pre-recorded video content introducing a limb of yoga and its intersection with nature and sustainability;
🌷 Outdoor yoga practice and prompts; and
🌷Self-reflection journaling prompts
Strength is only one element of power. Power also comes from learning to listen to ourselves, letting go of expectations, reflecting on our fears, and most importantly, giving ourselves permission to have fun!
This safe and supportive community is a welcoming place to explore arm balance with no pressure of needing to reach a certain goal. Everyone is welcome.

Last call for Kids Yoga Teacher Training next weekend. This is for kids ages 7-12 and I am so beyond excited to lead this training. This is not just for yoga teachers… this is for anyone who has children in their life!!!
Kids Yoga is one of my specialties 🙂 I have been teaching it and training people to do yoga with kids since 2006… across two countries!
Kids Yoga is not just poses! It is creative energy, it is an opportunity for bonding, it helps them self regulate, and understand the self in a deep and loving way. Yoga has shaped my daughters capacity to live and live in the world!

If you have always been interested in an in depth study and understanding of the common yoga poses you see, would like to know if you are doing poses in a way that is best for YOUR body, or have ever been too intimidated to join a yoga class… or any other reason you may have… you can join Debbie this evening in person at our studio OR online from home!
This is a session that is normally reserved just for our Yoga Teacher Trainees but we have decided to open it up to the public in the hopes to help you feel confident and comfortable in your practice (or the one you have been too afraid to start)

We breathe, meditate, chant, engage in mindfulness, and we talk about yoga philosophy. Yoga teachings help guide our decisions and behaviour. The Yamas and Niyamas and the Sutras help us determine how we want to show up in the world for ourselves, other people, and the earth.

We use our breath to calm our minds so we can communicate our message.

Affirmations in Action!
I found myself in a predicament this month. Somehow I was over committing again and again until I realized I hadn’t had a day off in 19 days!!!
How did I figure it out?
I started to feel easily agitated and annoyed over the things I had planned to do.
I found myself irrationally angry about my schedule...
Cue the realization that I am the owner of my business and my own boss and I did this to myself.
I joked with my friends, saying “ugh my boss is a real a$$hole”… and then I realized that yeah - actually I was being one!
I have a clear understanding of who I am…one thing I do is work too much!
…and I do not wear that badge with pride.
Because I am aware of this, I know that for me, It is easy to fall down on self care and work-life balance.
So once I realized what I was doing, for the millionth time… I reassessed my priorities and then my schedule so it would align with them. This week I am feeling much more free!

Hello Everyone! And welcome to Namaste Yoga Studio at the Veitch Wellness Center in Corner Brook, NL. My name is Nancy Buckle and I am the owner of the studio. I grew up in Corner Brook and have a very large family here, but spent the majority of my adult life adventuring across Canada and the US. I lived for 11 years in New York City and New Jersey where I met my husband and had my daughter. As much as I absolutely adored my friends and family in New Jersey, becoming a mom brought with it a longing to return home.
For years, when living in the US, I would visit every summer and dream that one day I would own a Yoga Studio in Corner Brook for Children, Families and Adults across all stages of life. The dream always involved me virtually teaching classes from NJ - I never dreamed I would actually get the opportunity to live here again. AND NOW HERE WE ARE!
The opening of this studio has been a labour of love for over a year. It began with a partnership with Jennifer Veitch, who supported the vision of housing a yoga studio under the Veitch Wellness Center roof. It continued with spending 9 months dedicated to training Yoga Teachers for the Studio. Now we have an absolutely beautiful, brand new, Yoga Studio (328 O’Connell Dr), an amazing staff of 8 yoga teachers who hold so much passion for yoga and are excited to share it with you, and a full yoga schedule that caters to expecting and new moms, babies, toddlers, kids, tweens, teens, adult, seniors and the community. We also offer one on one therapeutic yoga for rehabilitation and chronic pain as well.
We have a mission to bring yoga into the community, coming out to you and beyond the four walls of our studio. We offer programming for schools, workplaces, conferences, events and you can book private yoga in your homes for yourself or a group. We also practice Karma Yoga and have a volunteer mandate of offering a minimum of one volunteer yoga class in the community each week.
At Namaste Yoga Studio, our number one priority is to create a warm, welcoming space for you to explore the practice of yoga safely and with confidence. We aim to offer a yoga experience that is inclusive and celebratory. We will work with you from your first yoga class ever to helping you stand on your head or hands! We support, laugh, joke, cry and laugh some more. We would love for you to join our Yoga Family!
