At Corner Brook Dance Hub we do more than just dance!
We are happy to be hosting Open Door for their Theatre and Music classes for the upcoming year again.

Hello friends of Open Door Theatre!

We are happy to announce that registration for our fall semester is now OPEN and this term is going to be bigger than ever! With classes for the whole family, and of course our Halloween and Christmas shows!

Of course, we have our youth acting classes! With offerings for students who are grade kindergarten right up to grade 12, there is a class for the young performer in your family, no matter the age!

This year, we’re also adding a “Behind The Scenes” class, for students who are interested in prop making, lighting, sound, costumes and stage management. This class is offered to students in grade 7 to grade 12!

Allison Crowe is BACK with her “Adult Kitchen Party Class”! Are you someone who sings in the car, but ONLY the car? Maybe you’ve been fiddling with your guitar at home but you’re too nervous to play in a group yet. This is the class for you. Come, request a song to sing, or play along with the group. This low stress, and easygoing environment is a place to let your hair down and try something new! You’ll be amazed at what the group can make together!

We’re also bringing back our acting classes for adults! Been strutting your stuff on the stage, but you’re looking to level up your skills? Or maybe you’ve never even looked at a script before and you’re just curious? This class is approachable for all skill levels. We’ll take our first steps in the rehearsal hall playing with improvisation, and we’ll work our way up Stanislavsky technique and scene study!

The fact of the matter is, we’ve got programming for the whole family this year at Open Door Theatre, and we can’t wait to see all of our old vets, and some new faces this fall.

CandicePikeInMotion is hosting a Summer Somatic Intensive in Dynamic Embodiment with Dr Martha Eddy this weekend at the Dance Hub. There are still spots left for individual classes and workshops (including a Parent & Tot class on Friday morning at 10AM).
