Sometimes we don’t even realize we’re struggling to regulate our emotions — but here are a few signs it might be happening:

• 😤 Overreacting to small things
• 🎢 Mood swings that feel like a rollercoaster
• ⚡ Acting impulsively or without thinking
• 🧨 Bottling up emotions until they explode
• 🤐 Difficulty expressing how you really feel
• 💔 Constant conflict or disconnection in relationships
• 🌀 Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or out of control
• 😣 Physical stress — tension, headaches, trouble sleeping

Big emotions are part of being human — it’s how we respond to them that matters.

If this resonates, you’re not alone. Emotional regulation is a skill, not a personality trait — and it’s one you can build over time.

At Sheila Tallon & Associates, we offer a unique program called R.A.G.E. – Redefining Anger, Grief, and Emotions, designed to help youth, teens, and adults better understand and manage their emotions in safe, healthy, and empowering ways.

💬 Reach out to learn more — we’re here to here to help!

A Year of Growth, Giving, and New Beginnings ✨

As 2024 comes to a close, we look back on the year with immense gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. At Sheila Tallon & Associates, our passion lies in giving back to the community that continues to support us.

This year, we were honored to contribute to several incredible organizations, including The Children’s Treatment Centre, Agape, CHEO, Hospice, the Glengarry Mental Health Initiative, Center 105, and Sisters for Life. These partnerships have allowed us to make meaningful impacts on the lives of those in need, and we remain committed to continuing this vital work in the years to come.

In 2024, we also expanded our team to better serve our clients. By welcoming a bilingual Nurse Practitioner and a Psychologist to our practice, we’ve enhanced our ability to provide holistic, wraparound care. This addition ensures that our clients receive comprehensive support for their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

One of our proudest achievements this year was introducing R.A.G.E. – Redefining Anger, Grief, and Emotions, a bilingual program designed for individuals aged 9 and up. This program empowers participants to better understand and manage their emotions in healthy, safe, and productive ways. We are thrilled to bring this valuable resource to our community.

As we prepare to welcome 2025, we remain deeply committed to fostering growth, healing, and connection. From all of us at Sheila Tallon & Associates, thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. We look forward to another year of making a difference together.

Wishing you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and hopeful New Year!

Introducing R.A.G.E: Redefining Anger, Grief, and Emotion

R.A.G.E is a transformative 10-week psychoeducational counseling program designed to help individuals better understand and regulate anger.

Is anger affecting your life or the life of someone you care about? Anger often stems from unresolved emotions and experiences, but with the right tools, it’s possible to channel those feelings into healthy, positive growth.

R.A.G.E helps participants uncover the root causes of their anger and learn effective ways to express emotions, frustrations, and concerns. This program is available for children (ages 9–12), teens (ages 13–17), and adults. Participants can choose from individual sessions or group programs, offered in both English and French.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, R.A.G.E provides a safe and supportive space to learn, heal, and thrive.
