At Chartwell Rosemont Les Quartiers in Montreal, QC, residents turned an abandoned stretch of land into a flourishing garden filled with flowers and biodiversity, now known as the Jardins d’Iberville. 🌸🌿

Launched four years ago as a grassroots project, the gardens have become a source of pride, creativity and connection for seniors in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. From planting and painting to simply spending time outdoors, everyone plays a part in this “little garden of happiness.”

In celebration of World Bee Day, a wonderful and informative presentation was held on the fascinating world of honey bees. Attendees learned about the bees’ vital role in pollination, their complex hive life, and how they contribute to our food supply. The session highlighted the importance of protecting bee populations to preserve biodiversity and ensure environmental balance. It was an eye-opening reminder of just how much we depend on these hardworking pollinators! Chartwell Chateau Cornwall & McConnell Manor are honoured to be sponsors along with many other local businesses, donors, and residents of this year’s Corus Caring Hearts Radiothon, a meaningful initiative that brings our community together in support of local healthcare.
This year’s radiothon is raising funds for a much-needed mobile X-ray machine for the Cornwall Community Hospital. This vital piece of equipment will allow for faster diagnostics and improved care for patients who are unable to be easily moved, such as those in critical care or long-term care units. It’s an investment in both technology and compassion.
A huge shout out to the dedicated organizers, and volunteers who make this event so successful!!

A Special Day at the Captain’s Table
We had a truly heartwarming and memorable gathering at the Captain’s Table this month, where laughter, good company, and a delicious meal came together for a perfect afternoon. Our wonderful Food Service Manager pulled out all the stops, ensuring every detail was just right .
The highlight of the day was a surprise celebration for one of our cherished residents, who just turned 102 years young! 🎉 We surprised her with a beautiful birthday cake, balloons, and plenty of love from her friends and neighbors. Her joy lit up the room and reminded us all of the power of community and celebration.
Here’s to more moments like this — full of connection, gratitude, and joy around the table. 🍽️🎂💐

“Wine flies when you’re having fun!!”🍷🥂
We had a wonderful afternoon and evening at Stonecrop Acres Winery & Vineyard. The setting was stunning, the wine tasting was delightful, and dinner was absolutely delicious. The owner shared a fascinating background of the family-run vineyard, adding a personal and heartfelt touch. The staff were fabulous — warm,and attentive. Our time at Stonecrop Acres Winery & Vineyard was more than just a visit; it was an experience — one filled with beauty, flavour, and connection. We left with full hearts, satisfied palates, and a deep appreciation for this hidden gem. A truly memorable experience we can’t wait to repeat!
