Nurse Practitioners play an essential role in the well-being of our residents and patients. 🌿 They provide not only primary care, but also guidance, diagnosis, compassionate support, and invaluable health education. Their expertise, empathy, and dedication ensure that each person in our care feels seen, heard, and supported. 🤗

To our incredible NPs: thank you for your unwavering commitment, your kindness, and the exceptional care you deliver every day. 🙏We are deeply grateful for all that you do.

Cette semaine, nous célébrons avec fierté nos infirmières praticiennes (IP)! Au Centre de soins prolongés St-Joseph, nous avons la chance immense d’avoir Meghan, Mona et Teodora au sein de notre équipe d’IP.💛

St. Joseph’s Care Foundation is on the lookout for outdoor Christmas lights -- any color, any style!

If you have lights you’re no longer using, why not turn them into holiday magic? With our Lights of Hope campaign launching on November 30th, we’re aiming to transform our outdoor spaces into a dazzling winter wonderland for the residents and patients of SJCCC.

We were also grateful to welcome Royal Canadian Legion Branch 297, Ontario Health at Home, and the Alzheimer Society for joining us to share valuable information and support on caring for loved ones as they age.

Today, we’re celebrating Romeo, who gifted us $5,000 reasons to smile after his 2 + month stay in our Rehabilitation Program! ⭐️

We are incredibly grateful for his kindness, determination, and positive spirit throughout his recovery journey. Before leaving, Romeo shared:

“Everything was great. The staff were so kind. I wanted to do something to say thanks. I know every little bit helps.”

Thank you, Romeo, for your generous heart and for trusting us to be part of your rehabilitation. We’re cheering you on! 💙👏

Aujourd’hui, nous célébrons Romeo, qui nous a offert 5 000$ raisons de sourire pendant ses 2 mois passés dans notre programme de réadaptation ! ⭐️

Nous sommes extrêmement reconnaissants pour sa gentillesse, sa détermination et son esprit positif tout au long de son parcours de rétablissement. Avant de partir, Romeo a partagé :

🎉 Did you know? October is Occupational Therapy Month! 🎉

At SJCCC, we’re celebrating our incredible Occupational Therapists, Stephanie, Emily, and Chris - and our dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for the amazing work they do every single day.

Occupational Therapists (OT) help residents and patients regain independence, build strength, and find joy in everyday activities, whether it’s getting dressed, cooking a meal, or enjoying a favourite hobby again. Our OTAs work hand-in-hand with them to bring these goals to life through care, creativity, and compassion.

💙 Thank you to our OT and OTA team for helping our residents and patients live life to the fullest!

🎉 Le saviez-vous? Octobre est le Mois de l’ergothérapie! 🎉

À SJCCC, nous célébrons nos incroyables ergothérapeutes — Stephanie, Emily et Chris — ainsi que nos dévoués assistants en ergothérapie (AÉ) pour le travail exceptionnel qu’ils accomplissent chaque jour.

Les ergothérapeutes aident les résidents et les patients à retrouver leur autonomie, à renforcer leurs capacités et à reprendre plaisir aux activités quotidiennes, qu’il s’agisse de s’habiller, de préparer un repas ou de profiter à nouveau d’un passe-temps favori. Nos AÉ travaillent main dans la main avec eux pour concrétiser ces objectifs grâce à leurs soins, leur créativité et leur compassion.
