We offer a variety of WorkS

afeBC certified training including OFA Level 1, 2, 3, 3 recertification and Transportation Endorsement. We also offer Red Cross first aid training from entry level to the more advanced. Our courses are competitively priced and are held in one of our bright and inviting classrooms with quality equipment and certified instructors. We can also provide customized workforce training on our campus or at your location that we are certain will meet your training needs and your schedule. We can arrange contract training for a group of employees or employers can sponsor 1 or more employees on any of our already scheduled courses.

This is a WorkSafeBC course that includes an introduction to CPR, choking and hemorrhage control and minor wound care according to WSBC Regulations, Part 3 Guidelines (3.14 - 3.21). The course is excellent for forestry and other industrial applications and required by many employers. Certification is by WSBC and is valid for three years.

Picture identification must be brought to class.

First Aid Training - Port Hardy

Standard First Aid & CPR C Course
Includes adult, child & infant first aid & CPR / AED training.

This is a comprehensive first aid course for those who require the skills and knowledge necessary to deal with life-threatening situations and to give assistance to people in physical distress. The RC Standard First Aid course is now recognized by WorkSafe BC as a valid equivalent certification for the Occupational First Aid Level 1. Certification is transferable between provinces and recognized nationally for workplace requirements. Includes all of the content of the Emergency First Aid course (FAC 020) plus injuries due to heat and cold, medical conditions, bone and joint injuries, head and spinal injuries. Certification is by the Red Cross and is valid for a period of three years.

Please bring Photo Identification to class.

The Marine Advanced First Aid course will cover the Red Cross; first aid kit; body structure and function; toxicological hazards; examination of person or patient (oxygen administration); spinal Injuries; burns, scalds and effects of cold and heat; fractures, dislocations and muscular injuries; medical care of rescued persons; radio medical advice; pharmacology; sterilization and cardiac arrest, drowning and asphyxia.
