Feel-Good Sound Healing

As a professionally-trained musician, I spent decades in the classical music world. I even played for Her Majesty the Queen (true story)! However, none of that approached the total satisfaction I felt from going to crystal singing bowl and gong bath nights (thank you Jeremy Sills & Dunrobin Sonic Gym). I went to every one I could get to, and still, it wasn’t enough. So, I started buying my own instruments, selecting each one with great care - feeling a true personal connection with each one is key! And, I started providing private sound healing services, combining my music training with the technologies I had at the time - my amethyst crystal bed and my therapeutic ultrasound device (love-love-love both of those, and have since acquired PEMF - Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field tech too)!

Since a young age, people steadily came to me quietly and privately to share their concerns, looking for support. Each time, through elementary school, highschool, university, and beyond, I somehow continued to feel very surprised by this, and also honored. It felt ‘right’ for me to provide any insight or guidance, or just a quiet presence with two ears to listen and a heart that said - I’m here for you. I acknowledged that it was simply a natural gift I could share. Being a good listener is, I feel, the mirror companion to being a good musician. I combined this compassionate listening with some of my own musical chants, helping people work through some of their ‘blocks’, concerns, issues, and feelings. Then, I got down on my knees and faced my own greatest fear (self-employement). My body shook and I cried uncontrollably when I knew I had made that decision for real. I quit my very good day-job to follow an even more meaningful path. It was far from easy, and some days, I still face challenges (who doesn’t???)!

I left the big city behind, drove across Canada, and settled onto the West Coast. I knew few people out here but I just followed my inner compass’s love for the West. I love California, New Mexico, and I loved my few previous visits to BC - I just knew that I had to live out here someday. Life is long, and thankfully that day came for me.

I designed my very own tiny house, and in it, I devoted some of that precious square-footage to creating a private sound healing studio. I brought all of my instruments to my tiny home builder (Mint Tiny Homes) and he patiently worked with me to measure out each shelf that I needed to place my 20+ instruments onto. No small feat, I assure you! Yep, they all fit - even my new totally had-to-have root chakra gong from Bali (fan-fave)!
