On Remembrance Day, we come together to honor the sacrifices made for our freedom. It is a time to express our gratitude and reflect on the service of those who have defended our country, both past and present.

This year, at Comox Valley Seniors Village, we held a Remembrance Day service led by our local Legion, with many staff members and residents in attendance. During the ceremony, we had the privilege of honoring some of our resident veterans, who participated by laying wreaths—symbols of victory, bravery, and peace.

Our residents at Casa Loma Seniors Village have been doing some fun fall activities so far this season, with one of them being apple picking from our tree and then creating absolutely delicious fall treats to share with other residents. We have so much to do and look forward to this season, such as:

1. Strolling through a Pumpkin Patch

2. Carving Pumpkins

3. Baking Parties

4. Cozying up by the fireplace with a good book

5. Fall Crafts

Last week we had our 2nd Annual Newfoundland Party here at Casa Loma Seniors Village! We had a lot of fun dancing and singing, eating delicious food, and getting Screeched in to become an Honorary Newfoundlander! Thank you to everyone who came to this event. We hope to see you all at our next one 🥳
