WOW!!! Once again we are so grateful for all of the children’s toys our practice members have donated. They have been forwarded to our local Santa’s Workshop and thank you for thinking of our local children! We also collected 12 bags of groceries, plus some cash, for our local food bank. You are all awesome!!!

Once again you are all awesome!!! Our annual Secret Santa program collecting gifts for local children was not up and running this year as the lead business was not able to make it happen. The great news is we worked with another local group and were able to collect dozens of gifts for our local kids. This year we've also been collecting food for our local food bank and that has been great as well. The gift collection is now finished but we are collecting food till the end of day Thursday, December 17th. Way to go everyone, you've helped make a difference this Holiday Season!!!

Happy dance! We are able to resume adjusting you and we're so excited to see everyone back in the clinic! The emergency care requirement has been lifted by the Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and we are now booking adjustments starting Wednesday May 20th. During the emergency care period we put in place strict protocols and procedures to ensure safety for all our patients. These measures will remain in place moving forwards. Please call the office to book your adjustments, walk ins are not accepted. 250 897 3424. See you soon!

We all hope this update finds you healthy and well!

Chiropractic is still deemed essential healthcare by the Provincial Health Authority and Dr.'s Ken & Marnie have continued to provide emergency care as needed. Walk-ins are not permitted in the clinic.

The simplest way to contact us will be via email: thrive@cfchealth.ca , checked daily. Clinic voice messages at 250-897-3424 will be checked periodically.

We are expecting information from the government the week of May 4th and we are hopeful we will be in Phase 1 allowing us more flexibility to see a wider range of patients needing chiropractic care.

We hope you are home, healthy and well, doing your part to keep our community safe. We are so looking forward to seeing you again in clinic soon!

Good day and we certainly hope this finds you in good health.

Due to the Covid-19 situation we are extending our clinic closure by 1 week and are expecting to be open, with limited hours, Tuesday April 7th.

Fortunately the Provincial Health Authority has deemed Chiropractic as an essential health service and we will be accepting emergency and essential care by appointment only. Walk-ins are not permitted in the clinic.

The simplest way to contact us will be via email: thrive@cfchealth.ca , checked daily. Voice messages at 250-897-3424 will be checked periodically.

As the Covid-19 situation at times can rapidly change, we will issue updates as required.

We hope you are home, healthy and well, doing your part to keep our community safe. We are so looking forward to seeing you again in clinic soon!

To our valued practice members: with the Covid-19 uncertainty we have decided to close the clinic for today, Wednesday March 18th, so that we may gather more details surrounding our ability to adjust. Tomorrow, Thursday March 19th, we are starting a previously scheduled Spring Break. Our planned international travel has been cancelled and we are staying local. We expect to be back in clinic adjusting on Monday March 30th. At this point, chiropractic clinics have not been closed by the government nor our regulatory board as our care is deemed essential and utilized by many in our community that rely on chiropractic to manage both acute and chronic pain conditions. Once we return to clinic there may be certain modifications in place and we will update you of those. In the mean time, please follow the government recommendations of maintaining social distancing, practice exceptional hygiene, and self-monitor or self-isolate when indicated and required. We implore you to adhere to self-isolation protocols when indicated, particularly if you, family members or friends have returned from out of country recently. To not self-isolate is simply irresponsible and puts others at much greater risk. We take the health, wellbeing and safety of our patients and community very seriously. Stay well and we hope to see you soon back in clinic.

CLOSED!!! Our first ever full on snow day in 23+ years. Possibly up to another 25 cm today. We are back in clinic Wednesday. Be safe on the road if you have to go out. ❄️ ⛄️

02/11/2019

We are open!!! The roads are slippery but the City of Courtenay has done a great job of snow removal on the main arteries.

Great fun during PJ Day! Good chats about sleep position, pillow choice, mattresses and quality vs. quantity of sleep. A huge thank you to everyone that dress up (or is it down?) for this month's theme day!

Yes, you observant people, I’ve changed up the fish in the aquarium! I’ve taken them all home to another tank and have brought in a group of juvenile fish that I am raising. The video is the father to the new clinic fish. He is a Protomelas “Taiwan Reef”. I specialize in keeping African Lake Malawi peacock and hap cichlids. Now that’s a mouthful! The males go through an amazing colour transformation as they mature.
