A Gesture of Offering
This simple yet powerful gesture unites the left and right hemispheres of the brain — bringing balance, presence, and deep concentration.
Lean your hands into one another, like angel wings.
This is not a gesture of asking.
It is a gesture of offering.
Raise your hands above your head.
We offer our practice to all those who came before us — our teachers, our lineage, our ancestors.
Through this gesture, we connect, honour, and express gratitude.
We offer up what weighs on us so that we may move forward with clarity.
Hands to the third eye.
We offer this practice to the wisdom of life itself.
May those seeking guidance, understanding, and insight find what they are looking for.
Hands to the lips.
We offer this practice to the power of our words.
May we speak with kindness, knowing our words can heal or harm, uplift or diminish.
Hands to the heart.
We offer this practice to the well-being of all beings.
May those in need of love, safety, food, or companionship feel held by life.
May this gesture remind us of how deeply connected we are, and how much we have to give.
