Can you feel it? The stirring, the subtle rising, the coming back to life?
The snowdrops are about to bloom
bare branches are budding
the streets are swelling with bodies
singing and marching
delusion is falling away
We are collectively grappling with extreme levels of abuses of power all around us. Rivers of grief, infernos of rage, clouds of confusion, fear that’s hard to move through.
And these feelings, they are not personal pathologies. They are appropriate responses to the current circumstances.
So how do we join hands? How do we build bridges, and not walls?
How do we stay relational and connected in times of increasing polarization?
We can begin by examining and dismantling the binaries that keep us stuck: right/wrong, good/bad, left/right, fair/unfair.
We can begin by growing our capacity to be with nuance and not knowing, encouraging our hearts to stay open to possibility.
We can begin by learning to become active operators of our nervous systems, so that we might move through the world with more agency and care.
Please join us, Casey and Toni, for an evening of being in the stretch of it all, together. We will talk, share, write, move, rest and receive acupuncture.
