As a deep feeler, my emotions used to be the part of me I felt most embarrassed by — something I tried to hide, even from the people closest to me. I learned early on that feeling deeply was something to manage, soften, or keep quiet.

Now, I see my emotions differently. They are my greatest strength. 🩷They allow me to connect deeply, experience life fully, and create who I am. My feelings are where my empathy lives, where meaning is made, and where my capacity to understand others comes from.
Feeling deeply isn’t a flaw.

It’s a gift — and one I no longer hide 🪴

We’re taught to measure our worth by what we accomplish.
In therapy, we practice separating who we are from what we do — and learning that both can coexist without pressure.

You are already enough.
If this resonates, it might be time to explore that relationship with yourself a little more deeply.

As a therapist, this is part of my job. Before I help someone regulate, I regulate myself.

I slow my breath. I notice my body. I soften my nervous system. This is how I show up for my clients — present, steady, and attuned. Not perfect. Just regulated enough to hold space.

If you’re looking for a therapist who understands nervous system work from the inside out, you’re in the right place 🤍

Relationship anxiety can keep you stuck in constant checking - your thoughts, your feelings, your relationship.

These thoughts aren’t a sign you’re with the wrong person, they’re anxiety searching for certainty.

Therapy can help quiet the checking cycle and create more ease in your relationships.

Reach out if you’re ready for support 🤍

Adolescence can feel intense and confusing.

Attachment plays a big role in how this shows up.
This is where therapy can help ✨

Therapy gives teens a consistent, supportive space to explore big emotions safely, feel understood without judgment, build trust and emotional security and practice healthy connection.

A strong therapeutic relationship can become a secure base one that supports growth, confidence, and self-discovery.

If your teen needs a safe place to land, talk to Brooke at Time to Grow Psychotherapy.

This trend felt like a good way to name what I’m still practicing this year - boundaries, regulating my nervous system, showing up for myself and others in a healthy, balanced way and letting go of control.

Still learning. Still growing, always 🪴

And if there are things you want to work on too, therapy can be a really safe place to start with someone whose role is to hold space, not rush or judge.

The Feelings Wheel🎡
A tool we often use in therapy to:
– Identify our emotions
– Learn how to sit with them
– Put language to what we’re feeling
– Create space to process rather than avoid

Naming feelings is often the first step toward understanding them.

“Let’s sit in that feeling” is something often said in session 🤍

It means slowing down long enough to notice what’s here. Allowing the emotion to exist without fixing, judging, or pushing it away. Listening to what it’s trying to tell you.

Because the more we let ourselves sit with our feelings, the more they get processed
and the less we have to carry them.

If this resonates, therapy can be a place to practice sitting together 🛋️

What exploring feelings in therapy can look like 🤍

In sessions, Brooke creates a safe, supportive space where children can slow down, name their feelings, and begin to understand what’s happening inside. Through play, creativity, and gentle conversation, kids learn that their emotions make sense.

If your child is struggling with self-esteem, emotion regulation, or identifying their feelings, therapy can offer tools, understanding, and connection. 📲Reach out to get started.

Things Hailey supports in therapy as a psychodynamic therapist 🤍

Reactions make sense when we take the time to understand where they came from. That understanding your past can create real freedom in the present. That behaviour always tells a story about unmet needs — and that what hasn’t been felt doesn’t disappear, it finds other ways to show up.

You don’t have to figure it out alone — support is here when you’re ready. If you’re ready to start that process, we’d love to support you.
