Townline Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy in Courtice, Ontario, located at 1414 King St E (intersection of Townline Rd N and Highway 2, besides Freshco). We were colleagues at the University of Toronto where both of us have completed 10 years of advanced education. Courtice is where we have chosen to live and to build our vision in our community. We help you navigate through evidence-based medication therapies for your health, and we work with your primary prescriber to help you stay healthy and minimize health-related stress. We are your closest health mentor, advocate and friend.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!!! This is an early reminder of our pharmacy hours during the holidays:
-December 24 (Sunday) - CLOSED
-December 25 (Monday, Christmas Day) - CLOSED
-December 26 (Tuesday, Boxing Day) - CLOSED
We will operate normal business hours from December 27 (Wednesday) to December 30 (Saturday), and from January 2 (Tuesday) onwards.
***Because of the holidays, all pharmacy inventory suppliers will also pause and delay inventory deliveries to pharmacies. Therefore, please order your prescriptions at least 1 week before you run out, so that we have adequate time to order your medication in, if needed***

My name is Paul Luu. My wife and I are both trained neuroscientists, and also community pharmacists. We live in Courtice.
A friend once told me “I know more about the car I’m driving, than what this medication is doing to my own body”. Obviously he wanted to know more about his medication, but he was complacent with that fact.
What bothers me is the fact that it was considered acceptable to him, and potentially many others to never really know what a medication is doing, and how well it is working for them.
I know that many people just research their medications online, which can present information that may or may not be accurate, in or out of context. As trained medication experts, pharmacists should be your “Dr. Google” for your medication inquiries. We can interpret and present more accurate information within the context of your medical history.
We started Townline Pharmacy to deliver this obligation. We believe that as patients, you have the right to speak with a pharmacist about your current medications and how well they work for you, or about a new medication that you read about and want to know more about, or about whether a strange symptom can be due to something that you are taking or if there is something else that is better than what you are taking.
At Townline pharmacy, we will leverage technology to make our dispensing process more efficient, so that we can be more available to discuss your concerns. We would like to become your “family pharmacists” to help you manage your medications.
