I'm so very excited about the new journey I have been on... burlesque has been such an empowering and liberating process that truly marries all of my Passions into one thing. It heals my theater kid every time I step on stage, it welcomes in my healer to weave portals of transformation for myself and others, it gives my abundant body a place to take up space, it gives my storyteller a place to recite and my crafter a place to build costumes and my dancer a place to love freely, my activist a platfirm.. I can be silly, sexy, sensual, seductive, political, fierce, soft, vulnerable, raw, subversive.. I can authentically show up as all parts of myself together.

This symbol represents the beginning of a new journey of co-creation with other magickal and powerful humans to bring ritual and ceremony to the art of Cabaret.. .burlesque is more then just a production house, its a mobile temple, a container to create magick and transformation, to focus the energy raised through shows toward goals, like personal healing and global peace. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Decorated a bit with the boys today. Hung our stockings (sewed by me that match our reusable Christmas cloth gift bags, everyone has their own pattern), decorated the driftwood tree Obie made with his grampapapa years early that hold our tiny collection of special decorations. Christmas is a strange time. I used to hate it for its consumerism and waste.. but little by little we've been Reclaiming the sacred days and minimizing the aspects I dislike (like making reusable cloth gift bags) and using live trees we plant later ir other meaningful substitutions. It also signifies the season of the Phoenix. 3 years ago this week our home would burn, taking with it everything sacred I had spent a life time collecting, my perfect birth temple (I was 6 months pregnant), Obies whole room and everything in it, everything meaningful to our family. It also marks our community coming together to support us through the most challenging time... it also marks the following car accident a week later that catalyzed my journey into acute chronic pain. Its no wonder I've been feeling emotional and raw these past few days. It's a good reminder to be gentle with myself and our family in general. The body remembers, even when I don't.

I have reached 400 followers! Thank you for your continued support. I could not have done it without each of you. 🙏🤗🎉 I haven't been as active on this page.. my knife has gone a different direction and I'm taking my ceremony and healing to the stage.. I haven't decided what to do with this page tbh.. switch it over or delete it entirely. What do you think ?

What does it feel like to be a large and juicy mixed indigenous nearly middle aged mombod of 3 to take up space and strip in front of hundreds of people? In front of a new community with everyone from my FIL to my kiddos school teacher in the audience? To perform a transformational piece grounding the cataclysmic energy of Phoenix fire that brought me to this community? If feels aaaaahhhmazing! Definitely the most nerve wracking experience I've had yet performance wise ... and exhilarating. I want to write more, and I'm still integrating... I just want to say YES to this and other experiences like it. Want some Sacred Sexy Serra Moanie on your stage? Lmk!
