Warm welcome to our newest Physiotherapist, Abby!

Abby was born and raised in Sparwood, BC. Following high school, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary before moving to Vancouver to pursue her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Shortly after, Abby decided to move back home to the East Kootenays to join the Kootenay Therapy team.

Clinical Focus & Approach
Abby is a registered physiotherapist with a passion for supporting lifelong mobility, function, and quality of life. She believes in working collaboratively with her clients to understand their goals and develop individualized treatment plans.

Her approach to physiotherapy blends exercise-based rehabilitation, hands-on therapy, and pain and injury education, with a focus on providing comprehensive and holistic care that supports both recovery and long-term mobility and health.

Abby has a particular interest in supporting older adults, managing osteoarthritis, and treating vestibular conditions. She is dedicated to continued learning in these areas to best support her clients’ long-term health and independence.

Outside of the Clinic
Outside of the clinic, Abby enjoys spending time on the ice or in the snow, rooted in a lifelong passion for figure skating and skiing. During the warmer months, she can often be found mountain biking or hiking throughout the Canadian Rockies where she grew up.
