The last few weeks have been full, and I’ve noticed something in myself and in so many women I sit with (in all corners of my life): this pressure to show up perfectly for everyone — especially as the holidays creep in.
It’s like the season cranks the volume up on old patterns: wanting to be thoughtful, available, responsive, on top of everything… while also managing work, family, emotions, and our own capacity.
And when we can’t meet every expectation?
The guilt kicks in real quick.
Not wanting to disappoint anyone becomes its own kind of weight.
I’ve been reminding myself — and women around me — that not meeting every need isn’t a failure. It’s being human. The idea of "perfect" never sets us up for success in the first place. Holidays or not.
If your bandwidth feels stretched right now, you’re not alone. You’re allowed to choose what actually matters.
Give yourself permission to let some things be “good enough,” and honour the limits of real life… not a hallmark movie version of one.
No perfection required.
No constant output.
Just doing what you can, with the energy you have. It's enough. ❤️
