What does it feel like to become fully present in your body? Where you shut down your awareness of surrounding noises, energies, and environments? Where you become fully immersed in yourself.
Too often in life, we are living in the body but not truly taking the time to be present. To sink into a posture and allow ourselves to open up and truly feel what our body has to say. We go through life existing and hustling here and there; and not really ever stopping until the end of the day when you lay down and your body sighs a relief.
Your body will always tell you what is happening, and it is truly divine. Our body systems are here to help us. To help us discover what is happening physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in our lives.
Our bodies lie on meridian systems/chakras. When an organ/chakra is hyperfunctioning/hypofunctioning, it sends out something like an electrical charge to different nerves in the body to lessen the impact. You can imagine the same organ can only do this so many times before it starts having an effect on your health. Our emotions/traumas unhealed lead the way to health issues in the body. It is your job to take care of your body. It is your temple, and that means keeping it clean, eating well, moving your body, dealing with your triggers and emotions, and letting go of old belief systems that aren’t serving you.
When you choose to become more present in your body and listen to what it is telling you, you offer yourself the greatest gift. You offer yourself the opportunity to grow, to learn, and to release what isn’t serving you. You learn how to slow down, breathe, and reset your nervous system. You learn how to forgive yourself and others. You learn how to love. And loving is what we came here to do.
