Plant Walk in Paradise Meadows on Monday June 24th
2.5 to 3 hours. Easy walking on boardwalk through this sensitive ecosystem.
I'm looking forward to leading this walk, it is such a beautiful time of year in the subalpine meadows of the Vancouver Island Mountains. The last of the snow has just melted and the lakes and wetlands are brimming with life. The plants we will see at this elevation are quite different to the plants growing at sea level. Medicinal plants growing in the lush meadows include such special plants as the carnivorous Sundew and Butterwort.
The trail is mostly boardwalk through this sensitive ecosystem, and it is easy walking.
Please register through the website of the Vancouver Island Herb Gathering https://herbconference.com/workshop/alpine-herb-walk/

I’ve taken several online Botanical Drawing classes with Katharine Dickinson and she’s a fantastic teacher. She teaches technique for observing and capturing the essence and details of plants in a very unique way. And because it’s online you can see every pencil mark that she makes to create her beautiful drawings!
Today is the last day that her online class with Pacific Rim College Online is 40%off.
If you are studying herbal medicine or just love plants take this class, you’ll see ever more details in the natural world you’d never noticed!

Enroll in a course by June 30th, and be entered to WIN a customherbal hormonal care kit, valued at $75 (shipping included).
