Just got home from a full day of postpartum care to this sweet love note from our last birth doula Client of 2025. 🫠I love that they mentioned my sweat suit- here’s what I wore at 12am to this week’s birth — the first of 2026! (that called for a few different fit changes)

Congratulations to all of the beautiful growing families, and to the brave ones who I get to journey beside through all of the tears of joy and tenderness, the sweat of celebration and growth-and as for blood, well, I’ve been wearing my white Vans (did you know peroxide takes🩸 stains out incredibly well?)
to work lately bcs I’m not scared of it.

On our island where we are based out of, I’m so grateful we have access to clean water, amazing health care and a sweet balance of choice of medicalized support and holistic wisdom. Last time I was at the US border, the border officer asked me what I did for work - after my description he simply replied “that sounds old school” and that about sums it up. ⚪️❤️🪬Did you guess what my pants say?

I’m still learning that to show up fully, I need to let some parts of me run wild.

Beneath the moon, quiet, under an old-growth cactus or cedar, the sun, singing, my body remembers what my mind can’t always hold.

Some parts of me are still untamed and I’m learning to let them be. You feel me? Here’s to the last New Moon of the year!!

This morning I called to my son, “look at the light!” He lifted my camera from the window and caught it—the way autumn arrives quietly, with gold in its hands.

A glowing moment.

Nothing more, nothing less—just sharing beauty as it is. No message, no performance. Just light meeting morning.
