WELCOME TO WEIGHTLOSS BOOTCAMP
This amazing group of ladies joins together every Monday and Wednesday 12-1pm. Ages 40-65, all these ladies are in perimenopause or post-menopause. We work on heavy lifting and power exercises to help kick the muscles back in gear. We do lots of core and postural exercises.

As a woman Ive been really proud of myself for getting back into full push ups and pull ups. It makes you feel so strong and powerful pushing your own body weight.
Side note: this was a period week workout so i put my weights down but so glad I could still get some good functional movements in.

All the actions I'm taking to heal my hormones while getting off birth control....
- sauna sessions 20-30 mins 3 times a week for liver detox as birth control puts access estrogen in the body and creates hormonal imbalances
- castor oil packs 30-60 mins with heat on my liver or uterus to help detox and help period cramps and lymphatic drainage
- dry brushing to help detox
- exercising minimum 3 times a week to sweat out access hormones
- taking wild yam cream 3 times a day everyday to naturally balance hormones
- IV therapy to put back in vitamins and amino acids that were taken by the pill. (It mostly makes people deficient in B vitamins, folate, selenium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin C and E)
- vitamins to help detox: liver GI detox, Vitamin B, C, E, zinc, magnesium, a probiotic, multi vitamin, NAC, etc
- eating clean unprocessed foods to help not get hormonal acne, weight gain, etc. Salads, lean proteins, veggies, berries, nuts and seeds, omega 3 rich foods, fermented foods such as sourdough bread, yogurt, etc.
- seed cycling and menstrual cycling (eating foods based on what phase of the cycle you're on and having specific seeds to help balance hormones)

There's more but that's mostly what ive been focusing on. So far I'm feeling good. It's important to not go off cold turkey which seems to be a big trend right now.
If you notice after getting off you're depressed, moody, have hormonal acne, major weight gain or weight loss, heavy periods, irregular periods, cramps, etc; I would highly recommend looking into these methods above.

My client Anne got client of the month🎉!
She's done so well the last 4-5 months getting her workouts in, drinking her water, bringing her mom in to train with her trainer, and showing up to every session.

"In late February, as I approached my 61st birthday, I was feeling like my body wasn’t in the condition I wanted it to be in. I enjoy photography and found myself asking my husband for help to get up when I’d
squat down to take photos. My weight was higher than I would have liked, and, looking
ahead to my “retirement years”, I wanted to go into them with more energy and endurance.
My husband joined GoodLife as well, and a few weeks after that, my 92-year-old mother joined!
She works out with Dave F. to improve her mobility and has done quite well. I now feel more confident in my ability to do the things I want to do, which includes longer walking/hiking and photographic
opportunities. I am very proud of what I have accomplished with Mackenzie’s
guidance and support."
