All the actions I'm taking to heal my hormones while getting off birth control....
- sauna sessions 20-30 mins 3 times a week for liver detox as birth control puts access estrogen in the body and creates hormonal imbalances
- castor oil packs 30-60 mins with heat on my liver or uterus to help detox and help period cramps and lymphatic drainage
- dry brushing to help detox
- exercising minimum 3 times a week to sweat out access hormones
- taking wild yam cream 3 times a day everyday to naturally balance hormones
- IV therapy to put back in vitamins and amino acids that were taken by the pill. (It mostly makes people deficient in B vitamins, folate, selenium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin C and E)
- vitamins to help detox: liver GI detox, Vitamin B, C, E, zinc, magnesium, a probiotic, multi vitamin, NAC, etc
- eating clean unprocessed foods to help not get hormonal acne, weight gain, etc. Salads, lean proteins, veggies, berries, nuts and seeds, omega 3 rich foods, fermented foods such as sourdough bread, yogurt, etc.
- seed cycling and menstrual cycling (eating foods based on what phase of the cycle you're on and having specific seeds to help balance hormones)
There's more but that's mostly what ive been focusing on. So far I'm feeling good. It's important to not go off cold turkey which seems to be a big trend right now.
If you notice after getting off you're depressed, moody, have hormonal acne, major weight gain or weight loss, heavy periods, irregular periods, cramps, etc; I would highly recommend looking into these methods above.
