We have exciting news! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Tasha Anderson to the Cove Sport team! Tasha is a Registered Social Worker and Clinical Specialist with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers.

Born and raised in Dartmouth, she grew up playing a variety of sports and continues to carry that sense of movement and connection into her practice today.

Tasha specializes in working with youth and young adults aged 12–25, and often incorporates movement and mindfulness into her sessions—such as walking together—not for exercise, but to support communication, reflection, and a sense of momentum.

Tasha is an extremely kind and compassionate therapist and we are so excited to have her!

The Dartmouth Community and our Cove Sport family lost an incredibly kind and wonderful soul this week and I lost an amazing and very loved Aunt. Anne was the best! Please volunteer in your community, check on a friend or plant beautiful flowers in her honor. 🌺 🌼

Please take a look at the survey from HRM and the Zatsman Sportsplex. As we Spring into warmer weather, we want to keep bodies of all ages moving!

HRM is looking to improve recreational programming and services for seniors across HRM. If you are a senior and are looking to provide your feedback on what you would like to see, HRM is hosting an upcoming in-person engagement session here at the Sportsplex! This session will take place on Thursday, April 24th in the Thistle Room from 11am - 2pm.

Happy to join with these wonderful businesses to provide a Dartmouth drop off center for collection of working used phones to be provided to people who are homeless, insecurely housed, street involved and underserved in our community.

Please drop your phones to us before December 28!

Phones for the Holidays is a small group of community members and small business partners who collect phones each year and donate them to MOSH. This is the 6th year running this project.

 MOSH provides accessible primary health care services to people who are homeless, insecurely housed, street involved and underserved in our community. The MOSH team is a collaborative primary health care team of two full-time nurses, half- time occupational therapist, half-time administrative support and 12 hours of physician care per week.

We are engaging residents on the proposed improvements outlined in the Lake Banook Coordination Plan, through an online survey and a public open house. Event details:
Monday, December 2, 2024 | 5-8:30 p.m. | Kiwanis Grahams Grove Community Building (45 Grahams Grove, Dartmouth)

Survey feedback will be used to refine the recommendations set forth in the final plan, which will will be presented to Regional Council for approval.
