Judy and Guinness had a packed week making the rounds at student orientations, starting at Dalhousie Agricultural College, then Dal Main Campus, and wrapping up at King’s College! Students were thrilled to sneak in some pats and cuddles, and Guinness was just as happy to be back with his people. Hoping everyone an amazing first week back to school!

The Nova Scotia Wildfire Coordination Centre in Shubenacadie recently welcomed a visit from our Therapy Dogs as they continue their hard work on the Long Lake fire. Hazel and Kevin teamed up with Rugby and Gary to bring smiles and a bit of comfort to the crew. Our hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming and Hazel and Rugby quickly became fast friends!

This year’s Atlantic Emergency Management Conference focused on Braving the Uncertain. We were proud to participate, supporting Emergency Management initiatives across Atlantic Canada and collaborating with like minded organizations to safeguard communities in times of crisis. By fostering stronger connections and partnerships, we can continue to enhance our support and resilience for the people we serve.

Two of our therapy dog teams took part in the Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day Walk last week—a beautiful event honouring the furry friends we’ve loved and lost. Their presence brought comfort and smiles to everyone in attendance. 💜
