While Epicure had communicated their plans to reopen for business, it is not clear when that will actually happen. In the meantime I have been on the hunt for something to use that can possibly compare to the quality and taste of Epicure and I dare say that I've found it.

I discovered a company called A Spice Affair based out of Montreal and of the products I have tried so far, I am impressed by the quality and taste. They're 100% Gluten free as well as free from dairy, soy, corn, nuts & MSG.

Thai Basil Chicken features savory, sweet, and mildly spicy flavors with fragrant notes of sweet basil. Spice level: Mild

Ingredients:
Basil, Chili pepper, Garlic, Ginger, Mushroom, Onion, Organic coconut palm sugar, Paprika, Red bell pepper, Sea salt.

Prep tips:
Take the ingredients from raw-to-ready in just 15 minutes using our Wok & Glass Lid or a frying pan
This dish is typically served over a bed of steamed rice.
Garnish your meal with sliced chili and a fried egg

How to Sample:
Thai Basil Chicken Bites

Dairy-free yet super creamy, this one hits you with a whole lot of dill flavour, a touch of honey and a slight tang from apple cider vinegar.

✳️ Tip: For extra dill flavor use dill pickle juice when mixing!
Also use dressing mix in your next potato salad
