🎃 THANK YOU, 2025 SCARE CREW 👻
I’m always at a loss for words when I try to thank the incredible crew who bring this house to life.
We’ve got our seasoned veterans who’ve been with us year after year, the new faces who jump in like they’ve always been here, and the young ones who once shook in their boots and now bring the screams! 💀
Each night, about thirty amazing volunteers fill every corner of the House of Doom — from the actors and prop controllers inside who master their scares, to the outdoor performers making the lineup part of the show with laughter, jumps, and chaos.
Our backstage crew get everyone costumed and ready to haunt, while line-up, ticketing, and traffic patrol keep everything safe and running smoothly.
The hospitality crew — our kind friends and neighbours — keep everyone warm with hot chocolate, hot dogs, and big smiles. ☕🌭
And before we even open, there’s the movers, builders, fixers, decorators, and organizers who transform our home into the House of Doom, plus the ones who deliver sponsorship letters, pick up barricades, and run the community yard sale — you make it all happen.
And thank you in advance to those helping with takedown, cleanup, and transport — the unsung heroes who close out the chaos. 🙌
Even if you don’t appear in the photos, you’re part of every scream, every laugh, and every dollar raised for the Foundation
This haunted house runs on heart. ❤️ Thank you for being part of the magic.

Urgent Call for Volunteers – Street Safety Crew for Tomorrow’s House of Doom

We’re putting out an urgent call for a few extra hands for tomorrow evening’s House of Doom.

The past two nights of our Scream with Your Team events have been amazing — huge crowds, incredible energy, and so much community spirit! But we’ve also heard a few concerns about people spilling out onto the street and holding up local traffic.

Our neighbours have been incredibly patient and supportive year after year, and it truly hurts our hearts to think anyone might feel disrespected or inconvenienced.
We’re so proud of what this event represents — community coming together to bring the thrills and raise money for the IWK Foundation— and we want to make sure that everyone, including our neighbours, can continue to feel proud too.

To help keep things safe and respectful, we’re ramping up our Street & Traffic Patrol for tomorrow night.

We’re looking for responsible ADULT volunteers to wear safety vests and nicely but firmly remind visitors that the street is open to vehicles and not to be treated as closed.

🕓 Shifts are typically 6:30–8:00 pm and 8:00–9:30 pm.
We’ll make sure you’re set up with a vest, flashlight, and all the info you need.

Hey House of Doom fans! 👻

We’ve had quite a few folks reaching out asking if they can join as individuals or families for our “Scream with Your Team” group entry nights. Since we've been selling these spots as VIP group bookings, we can’t just have people pop in solo… but here’s a fun idea!

If you’re an individual or a small family who wants to experience the House of Doom, why not team up with others who’ve also been asking the same thing? We encourage you to gather a little group, pool your resources, and book a group spot together! That way, you’ll meet the minimum donation of 250.00 and get your own special time slot to go through the haunt.

This is a perfect way for individual thrill-seekers and smaller groups to join in the fun and help us reach our fundraising goals for the IWK. Let’s make it happen! If you’re interested, comment below to coordinate a group! We have availability at 8, 8:20, and 8:40!
