As I step into this new season with Turtle Dreams Micro Apothecary & Wellness, I’m keeping things slow, intentional, and sustainable.

For April, I will be offering 5 exclusive reflexology treatments.

As I prepare to open the Turtle Dreams Micro Apothecary & Wellness, I’ve been working on the first small batch of blends for spring.

The first release will include three rollers:

A calming blend designed to support rest, quiet the mind, and help the body settle before sleep.

Cooling and soothing oils to help ease tension and pressure.

A fresh uplifting blend inspired by early spring — meant to bring clarity, energy, and a little brightness after a long winter.

I will also be opening 1-hour, in home, reflexology sessions ($65).

For Turtle Dreams that means:

Because everything is made in small batches, some items will only appear for a short time or in certain seasons.

This keeps the work personal, sustainable, and rooted in care instead of volume.

Something new is slowly taking shape at Turtle Dreams.

For a long time I’ve been blending oils, learning about plant medicines, and sharing reflexology with people who need rest and relief.

This spring I’m finally bringing those pieces together into something small, intentional, and community rooted.

A micro apothecary.

A space where plant medicine, aromatherapy, and reflexology meet in a simple and accessible way.

Not a big wellness brand.Not mass produced products.

Just small batches, good medicine, and care.

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing more about what this will look like and what will be available.

Today’s reminder from the plants (and your feet): slow down and breathe.

Mullein has been one of those quiet helpers in my world lately. Big soft leaves. Gentle energy. Deep lung support. It’s the plant you reach for when your chest feels tight, your breath feels shallow, or your body is just plain tired of pushing through.

Now here’s the part people forget: reflexology and mullein work beautifully together.

When I work the lung and respiratory reflex points on the feet, I’m not just helping the body relax — I’m encouraging space. Better breath. Less tension. A nervous system that finally unclenches its jaw and says, “oh… we’re safe.”

Add mullein into that mix and it’s like giving your lungs a warm blanket and permission to do their job properly.

I couldn’t take a full breath… so I lit a plant instead of reaching for another over-the-counter fix…. Not the kind you think!!

Storytime:

I’ve been down hard the past few days, as most have, with what I’m assuming was Covid or Influenza A, made my chest feel tight, heavy, and stubborn. You know that feeling where the breath just won’t drop? That was me. Cough stuck. Lungs irritated. Zero interest in suffering quietly.

So I did the thing I always tell other people to do: I turned to mullein.

I smoked a small amount,intentionally, and respectfully and within minutes I could feel my lungs open. The tightness eased. The inflammation settled. That awful, sticky mucus finally started to loosen instead of camping out in my chest like it owned the place.

Here’s the science-meets-tradition part: mullein has a long history of use for respiratory support. It helps soothe irritated tissues, calm inflammation, and encourage productive coughing (aka helping your body actually clear what it’s holding onto instead of trapping it).

This wasn’t about being “alternative” for the sake of it. It was about listening to my body, trusting plant medicine, and using the right tool for the job.

Breath by breath, I started to feel human again.

Moral of th story eIf your lungs are asking for support, don’t ignore them and don’t underestimate the quiet power of plants that have been doing this work long before we showed up. 🌿
