These are two of Shea’s go-to movements for building strength and control through the hips and knees. Everything stays stacked and steady the whole way through.

✅Knee tracks over the toe.
✅Hips stay in line.
✅You move slow enough to stay in control the entire time.

It looks simple, but this kind of strength is what supports your swing and helps you keep showing up pain-free.

“Do I actually need physio… or will this just go away?”

We hear this all the time. 😅

One day it’s a rolled ankle before a big game.
The next it’s your back acting up halfway through pregnancy.
Or your knee is not doing what it used to before surgery.
Or something like leaking when you run, jump, or laugh.

These things are common, yes, but they are also very treatable.

And with it being Physiotherapist Month, it’s a good time to actually check in with your body and take that first step.

Just had a concussion? Here’s what to do in the first 24 to 48 hours.

First, you do not need to sit in a dark room all day. That advice is outdated.

What your brain actually needs is rest with gentle structure.

Sleep if you are tired. Nap if you need to. Just try to slowly get back to a normal sleep schedule over the next couple of days.

Focus on the basics:
〰Hydration
〰Good nutrition
〰Light movement like short walks

Avoid anything high impact or anything that could risk another hit to the head.

Also avoid alcohol, ni****ne, and stimulants. Your brain is healing, so give it the best environment to do that.

After the first couple of days, start easing back into your normal routine little by little.

If something feels off or symptoms are not improving, give us a call and we’ll book you in for a concussion assessment with Meg.

Across this series, you’ll learn the key STOTT Pilates principles—breathing, core activation, and neutral alignment of your spine, hips, and shoulders—so your body can move with more control and less strain.

This block is perfect if you:
• Sit a lot for work and feel tight or “compressed” in your neck, shoulders, or lower back
• Want to build gentle but effective core strength to support everything else you do
• Are looking for a low-impact way to improve posture, flexibility, and balance without getting “beat up” by your workout

In these beginner-friendly classes you will:
• Build core stability to support your spine and improve everyday strength
• Learn how to align your body for better posture and easier movement
• Improve flexibility, balance, and coordination with slow, controlled, joint-friendly exercises
• Walk away feeling more connected to your body, calmer in your nervous system, and more confident to move.

Our focus: quality of movement over intensity, so you leave class feeling refreshed, not wiped out.

What is shockwave therapy and why do we use it?

Shockwave therapy uses targeted sound waves to stimulate healing in injured tissue. It helps increase blood flow, break down stubborn scar tissue, and restart the healing process in areas that feel “stuck.”

We often use it for things like tendon pain, plantar fasciitis, shoulder issues, and injuries that keep coming back.

And just as important as the treatment itself is how you feel during it. We guide you through every step, adjust based on your comfort, and make sure your body is responding the way it should.

The goal is simple: less pain, better movement and a faster return to doing what you love.

Okay but you’re coming to this, right?

Our Deep Physio Summer Solstice Run is back for YEAR 11 🌞🏃♀️ and it’s honestly one of our favourite days of the year.

It’s not just a race. It’s the kind of event where you show up, see familiar faces, cheer people on, and leave feeling way better than when you came.

And yes… you can run, jog, walk, or skip your way through it.

Here’s the plan for the day:

✨Half Marathon kicks off at 8:30 AM
💛Kids 3K at 9:00 AM
☀️10K + 5K at 10:00 AM

Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring someone who said they “should start running” 👀

There’s music, food, a full community vibe, and you get a swag bag and finisher medal because we’re celebrating YOU!

On top of that,100% of proceeds go to a local charity, so you’re doing something good while you’re at it.
