Phoenix Emergency Management Inc.
We are looking for an OFA-3 medic with Construction Safety Officer certification (or NCSO) and some safety officer experience.
This is an ongoing construction project for BCHydro, with 2-3 years remaining.
It runs from April to September/October each year (6-7 months depending on weather)
Duties will include being the on site medic and assisting the construction superintendent with safety duties (prep and host safety meetings, conduct orientations, review safe work procedures, conduct safe work procedure observations, collect and report statistical information, attend BCHydro daily look ahead/safety meetings.) And other related duties.
BC Hydro PSSP, WPP CIP, training will be required/provided by BC Hydro.
Passing an international criminal record check will be required.
Class 5 drivers license and safe driving history is required(abstract and claims history)
Candidate will start (ASAP) late April early May - target timeframe.
$28-32/Hour
10.5 hour day shifts (Includes 10 min travel to and from site daily)
Some longer days may be required but have been infrequent in past years.
Accommodations and meals provided.
Travel to/from Revelstoke will be in your personal vehicle (time and costs remunerated, and a LOA may be applicable depending on individual circumstances)
Shifts will be from 8-20 days to cover openings in the current safety officers schedule. There is flexibility to cover your preexisting schedule commitments.
After work hours, there are lakes near by, private - swimming pool, hot tub, gym, gymnasium, golf course, kayaks, hiking and bike trails provided for your use.
