Currently there are no fires close to the City of Dawson Creek. Should something change, the City will activate its Emergency Operations Center and inform residents of any precautions that need to be taken.

The City is supporting the PRRD. The ESS Reception Centre is set up at Mercer Hall, Ovintiv Events Centre #1, 300 Hwy 2, Dawson Creek. Anyone offering resources to evacuees is encouraged to provide their information to the ESS Reception Centre.

The Prince George Fire Centre has a fire ban on all open fires of any kind, including campfires, as of Friday, May 19 at noon. If you are camping this weekend, please take extra caution.
