🥳 Did you know that we have two new team members??

👏 Our Chetwynd location has brought on a new chiropractic health assistant, Carsyn. She’s spunky and fun and amazingly professional and we’re excited to have her as part of the SPC family!

👏 And then we have Kennedy! She’s a part time chiropractic health assistant in our Dawson Creek location. Helpful and welcoming and fun, Kennedy is a great addition to our team!

👏 This is BIG!

🙌 One thing that Dawson Creek has been missing for a while is a lactation support provider. The local moms and moms-to-be have been mentioning it and Dr. Sarah has heard!

🥰 Instead of being referred out of town or having a Zoom call about it, Sarah knew that support was needed in person, in town. Convenient, comforting support for a very vulnerable part of life. And Sarah, being a go-getter that’s filled with passion for motherhood and all the details it includes, decided to tackle the certification for lactation support.

🥳 Sarah has completed her 95 hours of lactation specific education and passed the tests that allows her to be a certified lactation support provider! Next spring she will complete the training that will make her an official IBCLC.

💞 This isn’t a new passion for Sarah! She’s been involved in advocating for breastfeeding mothers since 2015 where she staged a protest in West Kelowna, fighting for safe breastfeeding areas.

🤰 Motherhood is an incredible experience. It’s challenging, joyful and exhausting. Mothers are bringing in the next generations and they have the beautiful ability to feed that child from their own bodies. They deserve support and respect as they grow, birth and sustain the children of our communities.
