Across the country, red dresses are hung in public spaces, and many people wear red ribbons, pins, or clothing. These symbols come from the REDress Project by Métis artist Jaime Black, where empty red dresses represent the lives of Indigenous women and girls who are missing or have been taken.

Today is a time to listen, learn, and reflect. We honour the lives of those lost, stand with survivors, and hold space for the families and communities who continue to grieve.

It’s also a reminder of the ongoing need for awareness, accountability, and meaningful change. Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people continue to face disproportionate violence, and this cannot be ignored.

We remember. We stand in solidarity. 🧡

Smile Cookie week is here! 🍪

Starting TODAY through May 3rd, you can grab a Smile Cookie and make a real difference right here in our community. All proceeds are going to North Renfrew Family Services to support local individuals and families.

Put a smile on someone’s face and pick up a cookie for a coworker, your staff team, family, friends, or even treat yourself!
