At North Renfrew Family Services, we recognize and appreciate the strength, resilience, and contributions of women and girls in our families and communities. Every day we see the impact women have as caregivers, leaders, friends, and advocates.

International Women’s Day is also a time to reflect on the importance of supporting equity, wellbeing, and opportunities for women and girls everywhere. Strong communities are built when everyone is supported and valued.

Today we celebrate the women who inspire us, support us, and help our communities grow stronger.

Next time you’re shopping at Ashley’s Your Independent Grocer, look for our Save-A-Tape boxes at the end of each aisle!

Drop your YIG receipts into the boxes and a percentage of the total receipts collected will be donated directly to North Renfrew Family Services to help support our clients financially.

It’s an easy way to give back while doing your regular grocery shopping; every receipt counts!

We’re so excited that the Save-A-Tape program is now back at Your Independent Grocer in Deep River! 🎉

Save-A-Tape is a simple way to give back, community members can place their Your Independent Grocer receipts in the collection boxes located at the end of each cashier aisle. A percentage of those grocery receipts is then donated directly to North Renfrew Family Services.

With rising costs, more and more people in our community need financial support to buy food. Funds raised through Save-A-Tape go straight to clients in need to help put food on their tables.

A huge thank you to Ashley for working hard to bring this very beneficial program back to Deep River, we’re so grateful!

🎄 Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers & Supporters 🎄

As we look back on the holidays of 2025, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible volunteers, donors, and community partners.

Because of your generosity and hard work:

We raised over $15,000 for next year’s Christmas Basket Program

We were able to support close to 200 local families with the Christmas basket program

Our Christmas Dinner program served 53 dinners, nearly double the number of people we served last year

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the kindness of our donors: including local churches, businesses, and community members who stepped up to help make the season brighter for so many.

From all of us, thank you for giving your time, resources, and compassion. Your support truly makes a difference in our community.
