I wanted to just follow up about an email I sent to my clients last week. Thanks to word-of-mouth and your support I received an overwhelming amount of new bookings shortly after I sent that email. Once again I have closed my booking site to new clients. This is to allow my regular clients to still be able to find available spots when they want/need them (hopefully).

My aim is to find that balance between being busy but not over-capacity.

I am still accepting new clients for Matrix Repatterning and Herbal Medicine but once again I am at capacity for Massage Therapy.

If you are unable to find an available appointment please reach out to me and/or put yourself on the waitlist, as I do get cancellations and I do my best to work down the waitlist to fill empty spots.

I know I'm late to the party this season but I just finished making a fresh small batch of bug spray, Walk in the Woods. It's effective but because essential oils evaporate the spray needs to be reapplied every 30 mins or so. I've been using the same bottle for 2 summers so it'll still be good to use next year as soon as the bugs come out - blackflies and mosquitoes. They are 150 ml each and cost $20. I can deliver if you live between Chalk River and Stonecliffe. Send me a message if you're interested in purchasing. They are safe for people 3 years or older. I can make you my Baby Steps in the Woods Spray if you have a child under 3 years. Thanks!

This past spring I harvested balsam fir and spruce tips and infused them with organic apple cider vinegar and raw unpasteurized honey to create Spring Forest Oxymel. This combo is packed with vitamin C, cold and flu busting properties and tastes delicious! You can take it straight at the first sign of a sore throat, or as a daily immune boosting preventative remedy. You can even use it like a salad dressing. This batch will last at least until next June (2025) or even longer so it's a great shelf-stable medicine that'll get you through the winter. The air quality is very poor today with thick wildfire smoke. Something you can do easily at home to clear your lungs is a facial steam. Boil water and put it into a sturdy heat-safe bowl or pot. Add a drop of lung-healing essential oil such as eucalyptus or pine (or your favourite pure essential oil). Lean over the bowl and inhale the steam with a towel covering both you and the bowl, to create a sauna/steam room effect. Don't inhale too deeply at first in case the water is too hot or your lungs are extra sensitive to the essential oil.
Sit and enjoy the healing steam for as long as you want, or until the water is no longer steaming.
