15 years, thousands of treatments, and endless gratitude!

Today marks 15 years working as a Registered Massage Therapist, and I couldn’t be more thankful for my clients and community. I feel incredibly grateful for every client who has trusted me with their care, healing, and relaxation over the years. This work continues to inspire me, and I feel so incredibly fortunate to get to do what I love every day.

Here’s to 15 years of helping you feel better, and 15 more!

We’re already two weeks into the new year! I hope you had a magical and nourishing holiday season and are stepping into 2026 with ease.

I wrapped up 2025 working with Entra to bring more organization and efficiency to my bookkeeping and business operations. I’m grateful to begin 2026 with these new skills and excited to continue developing Sapphire and Soul this year.

December is always a busy month as many clients use the remainder of their health insurance before it renews. January has also been full, with both regular and new clients, and treatments for injuries related to slip and falls, motor vehicle accidents and snow clearing.

My next available appointment is on January 29th. I recommend scheduling your February, March and April appointments now. If you’re hoping for something sooner, be sure to add your name to the wait list, movement does happen.

Thank you for trusting me with your Massage Therapy care in 2025 and for supporting new offerings including the Spring Yoga Retreat and a Spring Season of Indoor SUP Yoga.

Today marks 5 years in business! I started as Katie Stuckless, RMT, working out of a small room in a town where I only knew a handful of people. Overtime that dream has grown into Sapphire and Soul, a bigger space, a full loyal clientele, and a business I am deeply proud of.

I am beyond grateful for the continued support, for the ability to be self employed in a career I truly love, and for the opportunity to build something meaningful. Sapphire and Soul was created and grown with intention. It’s rooted in love, abundance, wealth, wisdom, and wonder, all represented by the sapphire stone.

I never take for granted the support you’ve shown me through changes within the business, growth, added services, and collaborations that allow for unique experiences within our community. Some clients I saw on that very first day are still regular clients and my biggest supporters, I am endlessly thankful for that and each one I’ve gained over the last 5 years.

This past year with Sapphire and Soul has brought some of the most pertinent connections for business development and growth, becoming a member of NLOWE. My goal for the next year is to continue to work on business development.

From my whole heart, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yesterday, NLOWE hosted a wonderful Holiday Mixer at the Horizon Hotel in Deer Lake. It was the perfect way to start a Tuesday, great breakfast, meaningful connections with women in business and Christmas Cheer! 🎄❤️

I have finally fully decided on a Holiday work schedule! It includes two Sundays and availability between Christmas and New Years. Part of the schedule has been open in Jane for few days and appointments are filling quickly! The next available appointment is for 30 minutes on Friday December 12th at 11:15am. Happy Monday!

This weekend I attended both the College of Massage Therapists of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapists’ Association AGMs virtually. I always enjoy these meetings and appreciate the chance to stay up to date on what’s happening in the Massage Therapy profession.

Key Takeaways:

🔹HST Exemption
Massage Therapy is a regulated healthcare profession in Canada, yet we are still required to charge HST. Work continues toward achieving HST exemption, which would help make Registered Massage Therapy more accessible.

🔹Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) Presentation
As RMTs, we follow strict policies and PHIA guidelines to protect your personal health information. This session was a great refresher with real professional scenarios, and an opportunity to expand my network for continued learning and support.

🔹NLMTA Lifetime Membership
The NLMTA has introduced a new policy, after 30 years of paid membership dues, RMTs are granted lifetime membership through them and only need to maintain liability insurance to continue practicing. I’m almost half way there!!

I’m in the clinic today with a full schedule! December is filling quickly and I recommend scheduling your appointments in advance or joining the waitlist. The next available appointment is on Thursday December 4th at 1 and 4pm. I plan to open my Christmas schedule in the next couple of days, stay tuned, a few more days of appointments will come available for December!

November is here and there’s just a little over 8 weeks remaining of 2025! This week I have one remaining Registered Massage Therapy appointment, next week there’s a few remaining on Friday 14th and the following week there is just three appointments remaining. The week before Christmas is also filling quickly! I recommend booking your appointments in advance this time of year.

Last night I attended the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards Gala. Sapphire and Soul is so much more than a job or business, it’s a heart led passion. I’m grateful for the recognition of being nominated and the support of being voted top three finalists for an award.

Congratulations to the winners!

Thank you to the GCBBT for fostering community, growth and development among local businesses. It was lovely evening at Marble Mountain Resort, with a dinner, auction, and awards ceremony. Thank you to my friend Tash for always supporting me and Sapphire and Soul and attending the event with me.

Friday night I attended the NLOWE Gala. It was a night of connection, inspiration and celebration. Congratulations to the award winners! Your leadership, creativity, grit, and the ability to have fun are truly inspiring.

It was a special feeling to be in a room with over 300 like mind, supportive, and encouraging women. Thank you to my sister and niece for joining me, we were seated at the perfect table for connection, laughter, and a sense of belonging.

A key message that resonated with me is to take up space and don’t play small.

I’m leaving the event feeling inspired to continue to work on my goals for Sapphire and Soul. Thank you NLOWE for all that you do to support and celebrate women entrepreneurs!

This week I attended and lead the Pasadena Sparks Meeting.

Together we explored what yoga means. We read the book I Am Love, practiced affirmations of “I am kind. I am a good friend. I am loved.” I always love hearing them say their affirmations together! We also connected to our breath and had a fun physical or Asana practice. We ended by sharing stories of what it means to be a good friend. They told stories of standing up for each other and seeing a friend smile made them happy. It was a beautiful yoga session of connection, mindfulness, love, and movement. I gifted them with a stone to be a reminder of all the positive energy we shared in the class, a stone they can use to play with or pass along to a friend.

Thank you to the Sparks and their leaders for their open hearts, bringing bright energy and inviting me again this year to lead a meeting 💙

Well Being Week is a province wide initiative that aims to inspire action and collective engagement for better health and quality of life by creating connections and sharing resources that promote physical, mental and community well-being.

I was honoured to be invited to Xavier Junior High on Monday by Victoria, Schools Health Promotion Consultant and Jennifer, Assistant Principal to offer two yoga classes to grade 9 students as a part of Well Being Week Activities. We took time to invite gentle movement and stretch, introduce breath work, acknowledge how the body feels and took time to pause, relax and started Monday morning with a sense of calm and ease.
