Kirb’s Herb’s

Kirb’s Herb’s Your witchy BFF who helps you feel well with natural, hand curated herbal products. DM for orders 🤍 Hiya and welcome!

I'm Kirb, the 'one woman show' behind the small business Kirb's Herbs. I've always been into holistic healing and in my early 20's that looked more like energy healing. This is where I learned the connection between the body and mind, helping to facilitate healing with clients in the realm of Reiki. In my mid 20's I developed auto immune disorders that more than likely stemmed from surviving on a

steady stream of antibiotics for much of my early childhood. At this point I really learned the term, 'what we put on our bodies gets into our bodies'. I began focusing on removing a lot of things from my environment, and did a 'life scrub' on a lot of things to help get to the root of healing. I discovered juicing, the power of elimination diets, and how really giving a sh*t about your health can dramatically change the outcome. I was also able to put one of my auto immune disorders into remission by discovering and removing trigger foods. And, honestly that's kind of when I realized how powerful food was and how it could be medicine, or...poison. In my late 20's and into my 30's I dove deeper into healing with plants. I became more interested in plant medicine by herbal supplementation as well as the assistance of essential oils. I'd stay up at night geeking about all of the different ways that plants could help facilitate change and health in the human body. I began making my own creations in my kitchen with different types of fermentation and tonics, which worked amazingly to help us ward off the early signs of cold symptoms. It was confirmation that it was simple to create these remedies! But, also made me wonder why we'd stepped away from using something that we could be creating in our homes. I branched out from making liquid concoctions and began making salves when the need arose to help our pot belly pig Tom, who had terrible red and angry scaly skin. In an experiment I whipped up a salve using basic ingredients, and some pure essential oils I had on hand, and began treating him daily with it. In a matter of days his skin was completely transformed with no other changes to his diet or environment! From there I began creating salves with herbs, which has helped people with aches, pains, and skin irritations. It's been incredibly rewarding to pass on the healing o others, beyond for my own health benefits by using them. This has further evolved into creating tinctures from locally sourced herbs, salves, lotions, tonics and elixirs, and wellness boxes. I cannot wait to see how Kirbs Herbs continues to evolve :)

I've always been interested in holistic solutions and I am so pleased to FINALLY be able to offer them to you and yours. As I look back over the past decade I know that this has been a long time coming. From years of learning about the spiritual aspects of healing, to now physically developing products...it's been a bit of a full circle situation. This FB space will be sharing shop updates, plant information and education, and a hub of holistic solutions. If you know me in real life, or from the online space then you know that I like to be silly and spontaneous, and I'm rarely a serious person. My brain is filled with random information, and if I'm interested in a topic I research it so deeply to know every inch of it and thoroughly enjoy sharing that with people that show interest...and some people that don't show any interest! LOL, seriously just ask some of my friends :P
So expect a eclectic vibe to this space as it will be woven in as well ;)

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for supporting a small business woman. Sending you lots of good healing vibes,

-Kirb

I made about 35lbs of herbal milk bath salts tonight and having a soak myself after a long day was honestly the best idea.

Each bag comes with a small mesh baggie for you to put your salt mixture in. This prevents the loose herbs from getting all up in your crannies and also makes cleaning super simple by just composting the remains.

It’s also the concept of a fancy tea bag, and that’s fun too.

These bags are 420g aka good for ~4 baths and contain so many 🤌🏼 salts in them that not only look aesthetically pleasing {hi, black Dead Sea salt 👀 I see you}. But also great for a good body soak to help with tension and tightness. My fav is the magnesium crystals, a mineral that can cause a relaxing effect on the body. And the florals are great for your skin: calendula, lavender, and rose buds.

Great as a gift, but honestly so nice to have in your own bathroom too.

🌸H E R B A L M I L K S A L T B A T H S 🌿

Call me crazy but there’s nothing as satisfying to me as filling up all my jars with new stock 🤤

It’s no eye of newt or frogs legs… {those come in next week 😉} but it’s equally as exciting.

Once upon a time I started Kirb’s Herb’s with just a few products, bath salts were one of those. I’m really excited to bring them back, but with a 2.0 version.

🌺More dried medicinal plants in it- rose, calendula and lavender, which are 🤌🏼 for your skin.

🌸More variety of salts- that Black Sea salt is going to look so nice in there.

🌹An addition of milk to take it up a notch with skin softening properties

These salts come with a little bag to put your mixture in, so you can enjoy a herbal soak without having the plant bits all up in your bits.
It makes for an easy clean up, just dump the little bag into your compost, rinse it and reuse it.

These herbal milk salts are great for sensitive skin, and/or if you just need a little something for yourself after a long day and want to unwind.

Come say hello 👋🏼 at the farmers market this Thursday from 5-7 in Deloraine and grab a bag. I’ll also be vending in Boissevain Saturday July 1 from 10-1 by Tommy the Turtle for Canada Day, or a regular at Metigoshe farmers market Saturday’s 9-12 ☀️

Was able to squeeze in some work between nap times and make a big stack of dandelion salves 🤗🌼

I’ll be messaging those on the pre-order list to arrange delivery in the next few days and into next week.

This has been a hot product that sells out everytime the shop re-opens so I’ve been working my little butt off to fulfill all your orders.
If you’d like a tin for yourself send me a DM and I’ll add you to the list 😃 it’s a perfect one to have on hand this summer as it’s great to help with the inevitable sun burns and bug bites as well as many many other things.

Hot tip 🔥 keep your salves out of your hot cars on direct heat. They don’t love high temps and get melty🫠 but if that happens no worries, just pop it in the fridge for a bit and it will harden right up. Then just store in a less hot environment.

Cheers to summer 👙 🍹 it looks like she’s here now!

Hey 👋🏼 welcome to some new faces as well as some familiars!

After having my Facebook accounts hacked into and then consequently deactivated I’m starting fresh 😬🫣

If you’re new here my names Kirbie, but my friends call me Kirb. I’m a millennial who is passionate about creating products that make you feel well and don’t rob your health 🌿
I’ve always kind of dabbled with making my own things after being unsatisfied with what was on the market or, simply not finding the things I needed. I’m picky with what I put on my skin {also team sensitive and problematic skin 👋🏼} and feel good with the fact of being able to offer products that have minimal ingredients, names you can actually pronounce, and contain herbal ingredients often locally sourced right here in good ‘ol Manitoba 🍁🇨🇦

I’ll be sharing behind the scene creations of products on this page, testimonials from my amazing clients, and herbal offerings.

If you see something you like- dm me! I’m a one woman show behind Kirb’s Herb’s , something that once began as a passion project that has grown to retail shops. It’s been a fun and amazing ride and I’m really stoked to continue to create new and exciting things for you to continue to help you to feel well 💞
