Thanks to everyone who came to our Second Annual Jingle Bell Brunch last Sunday! We loved having you and welcomed just shy of 400 people over 2 sittings - what a GREAT holiday event, we enjoyed connecting with everyone! Even the Big Guy in the Red Suit was able to stop by! Merry Christmas!

Augustine House is happy to take part in this wonderful holiday tradition! It's the Festival of Lights at Tsawwassen Springs - Tree lighting ceremony takes place Friday February 28th at 6 pm....and the forecast should be great with no rain!

Joan Pynn (aged 102) is a resident of Haven House.
She was born in Vancouver but at the age of 12 moved to Birmingham, England.
Along with her sister, Joan joined the Auxiliary Territorial Services (ATS), the women's branch of the British Army. She trained for R.A.O.C. (Royal Army Ordinance Corps and was stationed at a supply depot in Derby where parts were requisitioned for military equipment. She was promoted to Sergeant and was responsible for a team of office workers. After four years of exemplary servicen she was discharged from the Army in 1946. She moved back to Canada a year later.

We had a "Head Shave for Charity" today at Augustine House. Some of our staff and residents shaved their head with proceeds going to Cancer Charities! It'll be a little colder in the morning - but it was worth it! 😁

Today, Augustine House honours the children who never returned home to their families and all survivors of residential schools. We remember their communities. We remember you all on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Happiest of Birthdays to our own Audrie Keshen who turned 102 years old on September 22nd! Still line dancing after all these years! We love you Audrie 😀

Our residents are looking forward to A Night at the Opera! This evening in our Dining Room, we'll be enjoying the wonderful soprano Szu-Wen Wang - accompanying her on Piano, Mr. Ronald Sat. A program of beloved songs and piano works by Schubert.
