Join us on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 9am to 11am at the Tsawwassen First Nation Recreation Centre (1929 Tsawwassen Drive) for a morning of festive fun. Indulge in cookie decorating, grab your raffle and 50/50 tickets, and explore a bake sale filled with delicious treats like bannock mix, cookie mix, homemade jam, hot chocolate mix, and scone mix. All proceeds will be donated to Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation in loving memory of Douglas Bruce McGarvie.

Did you know that colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in Canada? One in 14 men and one in 18 women will receive a diagnosis in their lifetime. The hopeful part is that with screening and early detection, colorectal cancer is often preventable and highly treatable. Up to 90 percent of cases can be successfully treated if caught early, getting patients back home to spend time with their loved ones sooner.

Your support helps expand Delta Hospital’s Endoscopy Suite, giving more patients timely access to screening and diagnosis. Donate by December 31 and your gift will be matched up to $45,000 by two generous local families.

Hours:
• Mon–Fri: 4:30 p.m.–8 p.m.
• Weekends & Stat Holidays: 9 a.m.–3 p.m. (plans to extend until 4 p.m.)

Meet Dr. Juan Mata, Endoscopy Co-Lead of Surgery. The endoscopy team was thrilled about expansion and modernization of Delta Hospital’s Endoscopy Suite. This suite will meet the highest medical standards and create a better environment for patients, their families, and staff. More capacity and more availability will mean shorter wait times and earlier diagnoses. For Dr. Mata, diagnosis is the critical first step toward better health outcomes. That’s why he is eager to see the new space become a reality. He says the new suite “will be bigger, better, and more efficient. It will provide more privacy for patients, create a more functional space for staff, and improve the overall quality of care.”

We are sincerely grateful to the North Delta Lions Club for their donation of $2,500 towards the purchase of a new Phlebotomy Chair for Delta Hospital’s Clinical Lab. Since 1993, the North Delta Lions have donated a total of $64,000 towards priority needs at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care, helping us maintain the highest standard of healthcare.

The North Delta Lions Club has served the communities of North Delta (since 1967) and Ladner (since 2014). They have generously contributed countless hours of time and hundreds of thousands of dollars to local charitable causes and projects. We are honoured to be a beneficiary of this incredible service club!

This remarkable achievement was made possible thanks to the generosity of our amazing donors. Some of the priority equipment funded by donor contributions includes Surgical Beach Chair, Surgical Suspension System, Stress Test System, Mobile X-Ray, Bladder Scanner, Thera Trainer Body Exerciser, and Transport Ventilator.
