Hello current and former South Delta Physiotherapy Clinic clients,
In response to the COVID 19 Pandemic, South Delta Physiotherapy Clinic will be following the strong recommendation of our provincial and national professional associations to close clinics in order to adhere to the social distancing recommended by Public Health Authorities in BC and Canada. The exception will be to those clients requiring urgent care.
Clinic Closure
The closure is effective as of noon PST March 17, 2020 and will remain in effect until these recommendations have been updated by our governing bodies. If you do have an appointment booked after March 17th, please DO NOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT. We will keep everyone updated as we receive new information.
Urgent Care Services
The clinic may continue to treat urgent care cases requiring immediate attention: post-op joint replacements, acute vestibular conditions, and conditions that require treatment to prevent permanent or long-standing impairments. These cases will be reviewed by a physiotherapist and appropriately, an appointment will be scheduled. If you are unsure if your care is considered urgent, please email us at clinic@southdeltaphysio.com and we will direct your inquiry to the attending therapist. Please be assured that careful considerations and discretions will be exercised to protect both the client and physiotherapist.
Tele-Rehabilitation (Remote Physiotherapy)
During this closure, we will be offering remote physiotherapy. While “hands-on” treatment is an important part of physiotherapy care, remote assessment, education, exercise instruction and home treatment choices will be an effective option for clients as we move through this extraordinary situation. We are working to make this available to appropriate clients. Please inquire if this is something you are interested in receiving.
South Delta Physiotherapy Clinic greatly values our associates, staff and clients. These efforts are to ensure everyone remains safe and that we do our part to flatten the pandemic curve in a timely manner. We seek to lead by example and encourage you to do the same in your personal lives; stay informed, avoid social gatherings of any sorts, and follow stringent hygiene practices.
We will keep you posted as the situation develops in British Columbia.
Stay safe,
South Delta Physiotherapy Clinic team
