Who else started January with big intentions, new goals and fresh resolutions. We sure did! Love it as it shows our deep desire to reinvent ourselves into who we think we want be.

As the new year progresses, reality settles in and our routines reveal what is truly sustainable, and our nervous system tells the truth about what we can actually hold.

This grand entrance to February carries a noticeable shift. We experience a turning point where reflection gives way to action.

It’s not about becoming someone new, it’s about aligning deeply with who you already are.

It is a time for personal integrity. For honest self-expression.
For personal leadership that comes from the inside out.

When alignment deepens, the body responds ( really well!)

Care becomes intentional rather than reactive.
Skin reflects it.
Energy steadies.
Health improves.
Performance has a sense of ease.

At The Village Skin and Body, we support this kind of transformation wholeheartedly.

Thoughtful skincare, restorative therapies, and nervous system support designed to help you move from pushing toward goals into living in alignment.

So fall in love with your skin
Not by fixing it, but by supporting it.

Sustainable change happens through consistency, wisdom, and care.

If you are ready to experience care that supports your long-term wellbeing, your skin health, and how you experience yourself, we would love to work with you.

The Upper Respiratory Procedure (Hay fever Procedure)has been used for hay fever sufferers , it starts by addressing , the attachment of the mylohyoid muscle attachment , the submandibular glands, the sternal attanchment of the SCM muscle and the pre- tracheal fascia. The gental rocking of the trachea effects the carotid sheath , which surrounds the carotid artery , internal jugular vien, cervical lymph nodes and Vagus nerve. The gentle milking of the SCM affect many lymph nodes in the neck as well as the Vagus nerve . The benefits of the Upper Respiratory Procedure is that it encourages lymph drainage , encourages blood flow both to and from the cranium . A requirement for TMJ work. There is so much more and does not require much work but great benefit . Bowen Does The Body Good !

Osteoarthritis is now understood as a whole-joint condition — involving muscles, nerves, joint fluid, connective tissue, and movement patterns, not just cartilage.

That’s why current clinical guidelines increasingly emphasise non-surgical, conservative approaches — particularly movement-based and supportive care — as important early considerations.

Bowen Therapy takes a whole-body perspective, considering how joints are supported, coordinated, and loaded through the rest of the body, rather than focusing on a single joint in isolation.

Practice good listening skills 😉

When one system is under stress, others respond.

Posture influences muscle tension.
Muscle tension affects breathing.
Breathing shapes nervous system tone.
And nervous system stress can change how the whole body functions.

Bowen Therapy listens to the entire conversation — not just the loudest complaint.

Resolutions tend to be loud, rigid, and short lived.

Rituals tend to be quiet, intentional, and sustainable.

At our clinic, we believe real change happens through consistent care, not extreme promises. Small, supportive rituals for your nervous system, your skin, your body, and your recovery add up to meaningful results over time.

This year, we are choosing practices that nourish rather than infuse pressure.
Treatments that support regulation, resilience, and long term wellbeing. Care that fits into real life and actually sticks.

If you are ready to trade all or nothing thinking for sustainable self care, you are in the right place.

Our practice is built on trust, consistency, and referrals, and we are grateful to care for this community year after year.

Take the time and book in with us, or refer someone you love who is ready to feel better in their body and their life.

Here is to a year of doing less better, doing easy things really well and truly feeling fabulous.

We look forward to seeing you soon

Avoiding crisis is a good idea !

Avoiding crisis is a good idea !

Support doesn’t have to start at injury or breaking point.

Maintenance and crisis care serve different purposes.

Bowen Therapy is often chosen as part of a maintenance-based approach — supporting how the body self-regulates, recovers, and adapts to load, as best it's able.

January isn’t about fixing everything.

It’s about setting sustainable patterns.

Disco ball wisdom …. If it does not spark joy or stimulate collagen, no thank you!

Glowing skin and high performance energy is not a mood, it’s a strategy.
Collagen does not build itself.
Stress does not leave on its own.
And glowing skin is not a coincidence.

Collagen loves consistency.

Your nervous system loves calm.

Your lymphatic system loves manual support.

Your skin loves professional care that actually knows what it is doing.

Support your body so it can do what it does best.
Age well.
Recover faster.
Feel fabulous.

Facials, Bowen therapy, sculpting, peels, and treatments that work with your body, not against it. This is not about quick fixes. It is about long-term radiance, resilience, and sustainable results that you can feel and see.

If your 2026 energy is fewer maybes and more intentional yeses, consider this your sign.

Book your next appointment.

Your future self will thank you.

This !
It explains well why the Bowen release on the Psoas is one of my favourite moves !

Some basic relaxation, sacral and pelvis moves, Psoas release and a vagal stimulation goes a long way

Come on in and try it, I’m certain you will be happy you did.
