After three years of deep healing and rebuilding my sense of safety, Iām finally travelling internationally againāthis time to Verona, Italy. After being violently robbed in Guatemala 3 years ago, itās taken time, courage, and inner work to restore trust in both the world and myself. This journey back to feeling safe and safe in my body again has been layered with lessons in resilience, boundaries, and self-compassion. Iām fully aware that many people in the world never get the chance to escape or recover from traumatic events, and this makes me even more grateful for the healing Iāve experienced and the life I get to live. To be travelling again, with an open and grounded heart, is something I will never take for granted.
Iāll be attending an intensive 21 day 300 hour yoga teacher training in Verona to continue my journey of embodying my experience here in this amazing human body and then to share my knowledge forward when that time comes as I will never cease to want to hold space for others.
I was nervous this morning, an anxiousness Iāve never felt travelling. As I am getting further into my flights, my nervousness is turning into excitement again. I love travelling internationally. There is such a refreshing energy about it for me, different languages, people, energy and experiences.
I am so so looking forward to the next 3.5 weeks, the learnings, the history, the culture and connections I will make makes my heart light up. Thanks so much to my sister and brother in Law for looking after my Luna (cat) š©µš©µš©µ. I also havenāt been this long away from her and knowing sheās in great hands just helps my heart immensely.
