Last Thursday kicked off Week 1 of the 2026 Peak Fitness Community Games — and it absolutely delivered. 💥

We had 9 teams and 45 competitors (members + coaches) all showing up with big energy, loud support, and the kind of “we’re in this together” chaos that makes these nights so fun.

EVENT #1 was a little surprise… mostly for the coaches. 😈

Members finally got the sweet satisfaction of watching their favorite coach earn it for 5 minutes with a Burpee + Assault Bike EMOM ladder. Equal parts suffering and entertainment.

EVENT #2 was the Rowling Greens Rowing Gold Scramble.

Where strategy met grit. Row smart, push hard, and try not to get caught guessing wrong. A perfect mix of teamwork, pacing, and competitive problem-solving.

EVENT #3 was the Burpee Beep Test.

… and honestly? Only the fittest (and most stubborn) survived. 🔥 The room got quieter, the breathing got louder, and the champions kept moving.

We’ve got some video highlights that capture the best moments — and if Week 1 is any sign, this season is going to be unreal.

Perimenopause and menopause can feel like your body changed the rules overnight.

Suddenly:

- Weight sticks around your midsection
- Sleep gets weird
- Mood and energy swing
- Joints ache more than they used to

And the old “eat less, run more” recipe? … Never worked and never will … and sometimes makes you feel worse.

The problem: Fighting changes with more cardio

As estrogen drops, your body naturally:

- Loses muscle more easily
- Loses bone density faster
- Stores fat differently (especially around the waist)

You burn energy, sure, but you don’t send the message your body desperately needs: 👉 “keep my muscle, protect my bones, keep me strong

Your hormones are changing, your training should too.

Life is a lot!

Family, work, kids sports, world that never seems to shut off.

- Crash on the couch with Netflix
- Punish yourself with an all-out workout that leaves you wiped

Neither one really gives your nervous system what it needs.

The problem: Stress

HIIT and endless cardio can feel like stress relief in the moment… but if you’re already running on fumes, they can become just another stressor:

- You finish exhausted, not grounded
- Your sleep doesn’t actually improve
- You’re too drained to be consistent

If aging “gracefully” means :

feeling weaker, stiffer, and more fragile…we’re not interested and you shouldn’t either!

You deserve to age powerfully:

- Play with your kids, nieces, nephews, grandkids
- Get up off the floor without thinking about it
- Hike, bike, travel, and play with kids or grandkids
- Feel capable in your body for as many years as possible

The problem: Wrong focus

- Most anti-aging conversations focus on:
- Skin creams
- Supplements
- Maybe some walking and stretching

Focus on this instead…….

Quick question

Do you actually care about the number on the scale… or how your body looks, feels, and performs?

Because here’s the truth most women were never told:

“Toned” = more muscle + less body fat. Not just “less weight.”

The problem : When the goal is just “lose weight,” we often default to:
- Eating less
- Doing more cardio
- Throwing in some random HIIT

Yes, the scale might move, but your body will lose muscle right along with fat, that’s why so many women end up…..

Smaller isn’t the goal. Stronger, healthier, and more defined is.

Most of us were taught that “being healthy” = eat less, do more cardio, maybe smash a HIIT workout when we’re feeling brave.

No wonder so many women feel tired and not seeing the results they want!

In fact, when life is already full-on, more high-intensity cardio can feel like just another stress on your body…..
