🎉 Peak Community Games — 4-Week Wrap Up! 🏆

On February 7th, we wrapped up our first ever Peak Fitness Community Games — and it was an absolute blast.

Over 4 weeks, 36 members and 9 coaches formed 9 teams and competed week-to-week to rack up points through individual challenges + team face-offs.

The goal? Show up, play hard, push limits, and have fun doing it.

✅ The 4 Weekly Individual Challenges
Week 1: Going Nowhere Fast — burpees + Assault Bike calories (lungs were tested 😅)
Week 2: Pain In The Ass — 2-minute squat grind (quads were not impressed)
Week 3: Shoulder the Load — sandbag to shoulder with a “double down” twist 💪
Week 4: Prime Time — Rowing / DB ground to overhead EMOM

🔥 The 3 Team Face-Off Events
Answer the Bell — burpee beep-test survival (last ones standing carried the team)
Rowing Greens — blind “rowing golf” (closest to the target wins ⛳️)
Shared Load / No Free Ride — sandbag relay + sled push pairs (pure teamwork + chaos in the best way)

🏁 Grand Finale

We created a fitness experience where adults competed in fun games and let their inner child come out and play — bowling, co****le, a quick team workout, and then the surprise twist…

🧠 JEOPARDY.
And it shook the standings! Team Matt jumped up 4 spots to claim victory as our first-ever Peak Community Games Champions 🥇

More than points and standings, this season was about new friendships, big energy, and members proving to themselves they can do more than they thought.

👏 Thank you to everyone who showed up, competed, cheered, and brought the vibes.

Last Thursday kicked off Week 1 of the 2026 Peak Fitness Community Games — and it absolutely delivered. 💥

We had 9 teams and 45 competitors (members + coaches) all showing up with big energy, loud support, and the kind of “we’re in this together” chaos that makes these nights so fun.

EVENT #1 was a little surprise… mostly for the coaches. 😈

Members finally got the sweet satisfaction of watching their favorite coach earn it for 5 minutes with a Burpee + Assault Bike EMOM ladder. Equal parts suffering and entertainment.

EVENT #2 was the Rowling Greens Rowing Gold Scramble.

Where strategy met grit. Row smart, push hard, and try not to get caught guessing wrong. A perfect mix of teamwork, pacing, and competitive problem-solving.

EVENT #3 was the Burpee Beep Test.

… and honestly? Only the fittest (and most stubborn) survived. 🔥 The room got quieter, the breathing got louder, and the champions kept moving.

We’ve got some video highlights that capture the best moments — and if Week 1 is any sign, this season is going to be unreal.

Next Team Event Night is Thursday, January 29th and we can't wait!

Perimenopause and menopause can feel like your body changed the rules overnight.

Suddenly:

- Weight sticks around your midsection
- Sleep gets weird
- Mood and energy swing
- Joints ache more than they used to

And the old “eat less, run more” recipe? … Never worked and never will … and sometimes makes you feel worse.

The problem: Fighting changes with more cardio

As estrogen drops, your body naturally:

- Loses muscle more easily
- Loses bone density faster
- Stores fat differently (especially around the waist)

You burn energy, sure, but you don’t send the message your body desperately needs: 👉 “keep my muscle, protect my bones, keep me strong

Your hormones are changing, your training should too.

Family, work, kids sports, world that never seems to shut off.

- Crash on the couch with Netflix
- Punish yourself with an all-out workout that leaves you wiped

Neither one really gives your nervous system what it needs.

The problem: Stress

HIIT and endless cardio can feel like stress relief in the moment… but if you’re already running on fumes, they can become just another stressor:

- You finish exhausted, not grounded
- Your sleep doesn’t actually improve
- You’re too drained to be consistent
