A little peek at what you’ve been ordering lately.

This past week, a few scents clearly stood out. Take a Hike continues to be a favourite, filling homes with fresh, grounding notes that feel like a deep breath outdoors. Sweet Affogato has been a go-to for cozy moments, bringing that familiar comfort of a warm coffee break.

You’ve also been reaching for deeper, moodier blends like Winter Musktique, along with the clean, masculine feel of Knotty Captain in both candles and melts. And while the season shifts, Holiday Cheer and O Christmas Tree are still being enjoyed for their warmth and nostalgic notes — proving some scents are simply timeless.

Things may seem a little quiet around here, but behind the scenes it’s anything but!

We’re busy wrapping up year-end, counting inventory, prepping for the arrival of shipping containers, naming candles, testing fragrances, ordering labels for the entire year, planning new products—and so much more.

While we may be a bit quieter online during this time, please know we’re working hard every single day to bring you what’s next.

And truly… every review, email, message, and comment about your love for our products never goes unnoticed. It’s still just as exciting for us now as it was at the very beginning.

No matter how much we grow, we will always appreciate each and every one of you who are here with us and part of our journey. Thank you for being here 🤍

✨ Cheers to 2025 — what a year! ✨

2025 was nothing short of incredible for Ellington & Co. We took huge leaps, crossed new borders, and grew in ways that still feel a little surreal.

This year brought us to our first-ever show in Newfoundland at christmasattheglacier (and don’t worry… we’re coming back for year two 😉). We officially outgrew our candle studio and added a shipping container for storage because—wow—were we bursting at the seams. We were honoured with multiple community awards and are still riding the excitement of being in the nominee phase for a National award.

Our little community grew in the best way possible: new followers, new customers, new friends, new vendor friends and so many meaningful connections along the way. One of the biggest highlights? Watching my Momma Mary Lou O'Neil, step way outside her comfort zone, join me at several shows, and absolutely shine. And then there’s Dave, who travelled and took on his first solo show—and completely nailed it. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Behind the scenes, we were on it: ahead of schedule, pouring earlier than ever, and yes… we even planned our 2026 scents before the year was over. With 8 pallets of materials already on route for 2026, we’re more ready than ever.

We also launched our roll-on perfumes, which were a massive hit at markets, gained new retail locations, and attended markets in three different provinces. (PEI—we promise, we’re trying! You’re not easy to crack, but we’re hopeful 🤍). Hoping to hit 4-5 provinces next year!

Most importantly, 2025 was uplifting—not just for our business, but for our family too.

We are thankful. We are grateful. And we are so excited to do it all again—
✨ bigger than ever in 2026. ✨

So we did a thing… 🎄✨
Merry Christmas to me!

As we continue to grow, we knew we needed more space—but staying right here on our own property was important to us. Sooo… we made it happen! Our new 20’ shipping container has officially been purchased!

Next up: prepping the pad and having her delivered in the new year. This expansion feels like such a big, exciting step for our little business, and we can’t wait to show you what’s to come.

Now the big question… what should we name her? 😆

For once in a very long time I have taken breaks. Sat and watched Christmas movies with the family and enjoyed the time leading up to Christmas.

It’s been a super busy season as we had a record number of markets we attended and more travelling than ever.

I’ve completed my annual Christmas shopping trip for my 5 family members, plus my own shopping. All 159 presents are wrapped ✅ Grammy’s Christmas Cookies - a few shy of 1000 have been baked ✅ All 3 trees are up and decorated ✅ Just a bit of baking that I’m waiting to do as close to Christmas as possible and then this chick is DONE and ready for Santa! 🎅🏼

Before the season wraps up, we wanted to give you a little heads-up on which scents are not returning for 2026 (a few are still penciled in to potentially stay but not guaranteed). Our signature “Christmas in a jar” — cozy, nostalgic, and everything we love about the season.

🥛 Holiday Cheer
A deliciously festive blend of vanilla rum eggnog. Smooth, warm, and oh-so comforting.

🎄 String the Garland
A beautiful mix of cranberry, spice, woods, and subtle sweetness. This one is officially unavailable going forward as our supplier retired the oil — so once it’s gone, it’s truly gone.

We always get asked what our most popular scents are from our Winter Collection… and this year’s lineup is no surprise!

For the fifth season in a row, O Christmas Tree has claimed the top spot as our most-loved winter scent. 🌲 Coming in second is String the Garland, and in third place is Can’t Catch Me!

The fun (and slightly ironic) part?
All three of these scents made their debut in our very first Winter Collection back in 2021.
Five years later, they’re still stealing the show. ❤️

Thank you for loving these classics as much as we do — your continued support keeps our little business glowing all season long.

I keep reading 'We are a 2026 FINALIST' and I can't wipe the smile off my face. Today we received this email and I am so grateful that we were nominated to begin with but then to make it to the finalist stage is an incredible feeling.

With the hustle and bustle of market season, we are stretched so thin on many important things like making it to all the hockey games (thankful it's online at least now), missing family dinners, bedtime songs etc. Being a small business owner takes a toll on not just the owner but all those around them. We are just so thankful for the family and friends who pitch in to do markets, keep the kids, move heavy boxes and much much more. Without those people in the background that help lift me, I wouldn't be able to do it. Without YOU the customer, I wouldn't be as busy as I am. We have such an amazing local following and community here! I sure am a lucky gal:)

evergreenfestns… you’ve done it again. ✨ Our third year and somehow it still feels just as magical, exciting, and truly the official kickoff to the holiday season — even though we’ve been in holiday pouring mode since July!

This year brought so many amazing new customers from all over Canada, plus so many excited returning ones, you know who you are. ❤️ We made countless wonderful connections and finally met so many of our local followers in person — grateful to each of you! And a special thank you to our family who came to say hello and put an instant smile on our faces.

This was my last personal market of the year, but don’t fret… we’ve got ONE MORE show this Saturday, Dec 7th at the Fire Department in Annapolis Royal from 9–3 PM. Come say hi to Dawn!
