September has a reputation for reinvention—but what if that fresh-start energy leaves you overwhelmed instead? If you’ve been feeling restless, scattered, or simply not “back-to-normal” after summer’s laid-back rhythm, you're far from alone. In our latest post, we unpack the surprising roots of “September Anxiety”—from sudden routine shifts to seasonal changes—and help you reclaim calm with five practical, gentle strategies:

• Ease into new routines (no need to leap all at once)
• Ditch the all-or-nothing mindset—progress in small steps
• Schedule moments of joy—don’t let fun fall by the wayside
• Ground yourself each day—mindful breathing, meditating, or just stretching
• Reach out if you need help—therapy is here, and you're not alone

Feeling off-kilter this September? Give yourself the break you deserve—and read on to feel more grounded than ever.

Therapy doesn’t have to look a certain way.
Sometimes healing starts with something as simple as listening to your favourite song, building something with your hands, having a snack, or just lying on the floor.

These moments create comfort, safety, and connection because therapy is about finding what works best for you.

September can feel like a “second New Year.” 🍂

Fresh notebooks, changing routines, earlier mornings, new expectations… it’s a lot. And with that comes anxiety — even if you thought you were “ready.”

Here’s the truth: back-to-school (or back-to-routine) anxiety is completely normal. It doesn’t mean you’re unprepared or weak — it means your nervous system is working hard to adjust to change.

That’s why compassionate reframes matter. 💛
Instead of judging yourself for feeling anxious, you can remind yourself:
✨ Anxiety = adjustment, not failure
✨ It’s okay to move at your own pace
✨ You’re not the only one finding this hard (no matter what social media looks like)

So if September feels heavier than you expected, you’re not alone. These shifts take time — and your worth is not measured by how quickly you “get it together.”

Be gentle with yourself this season. 🍁

💬 What’s one kind reframe you want to carry with you into this back-to-school season?

Sometimes clients worry that what they do in therapy is “weird” but from our perspective, it’s completely normal.

The silences, the laughter, the tears, the last-minute revelations… they’re all part of how healing unfolds. Therapy isn’t about doing it “right” it’s about showing up as you are. 🛋️✨
