Advice for Anyone Entering the Wellness or Holistic Space (or any business really)
If you’re stepping into the world of wellness—whether through traditional credentials or alternative paths—here’s something to keep in mind:
Sometimes, those already in the space will welcome you with support.
Other times, they’ll gatekeep out of ego, fear, or competition.
You might be told you're not qualified enough, too new, or not allowed to explore certain modalities unless you’ve followed a very specific path. You may even be called names behind your back just for daring to try.
But here’s the truth:
✨ Healing is not a competition.
✨ Caring for others is not reserved for the few who hold titles.
✨ And wisdom isn’t always measured by how you speak—it’s often felt in how you show up.
You don’t need permission to learn.
You don’t need approval to grow.
You don’t have to be anyone else to be someone who helps.
If someone reacts to your curiosity with anger instead of encouragement, it says more about them than about you.
Let that be your cue to keep going—but protect your peace while you do.
Real healers empower.
Real friends don’t keep score.
Real growth doesn’t require a gatekeeper.
