🎬🍿 Movie Night Fun! 🍿🎬

Our residents had a wonderful evening watching the classic Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! There was lots of laughter, popcorn, and great company. 💛✨

Fun fact: this 1969 film starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford became one of the most popular Westerns of all time—and even won four Academy Awards! 🏆

It’s always special when we gather together for a cozy film night!

🍂✨ Fall fun is in the air! Our residents had such a wonderful time getting creative with some festive fall crafts today. 🎨🍁 From colorful leaves to cozy autumn décor, their creativity truly shines this season. 💛

🐾🐶 We had such a special visit for National Dog Day! Thank you to FAARS for bringing out the sweetest pups — our residents absolutely loved spending time with them. The joy, smiles, and cuddles made the day unforgettable! 💛🐾

We celebrated a very special milestone — Kay’s 99th birthday! 💐✨ To make the day even more memorable, we surprised her with something close to her heart… a visit from a beautiful horse! 🐴💖

The joy on her face said it all — pure magic, just like her. Kay is a treasured part of our community, known for her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit. We’re so lucky to have celebrated this moment with her!

Hello! 🙋‍♀️🙋🙋‍♂️
We've been quiet on here lately & here's an update that tells why!
We've been so busy enjoying springtime, leisure, and so much recreation fun!🤠
In May, our residents threw their own "Country and Western Hoe Down" that was enjoyed by many!!! Thank you Residents and PWLDV!

Recently, we went on our first bus tour outing of the season to the Pembina Nordic Center! Eagle Points Parks & Recreation hosted us for this amazing nature event where we enjoyed presentations on birds of the Pembina and even made it on a hike to "Bryans Bench"!
If you didn't know already, our recreation gal' pursued her Class 2 License in May (hence the quiet) & now has the opportunity to play a role in the transportation of our community on these special outings! Resident's we're thrilled to see Kay in the drivers seat on June 11!
Thank you to all our volunteers & care partners who continue to support these special outings and events! We couldn't do it without you!

Our friends at For All Animals Rescue Society have recently taken in a litter of 5 puppies, who came to them scared, cold, and malnourished.

Here at Points West Living we have had the opportunity to see them grow over two visits. They are now healthy, playful, sweet little babies, ready to find loving homes!
And we give them our stamp of approval on cuteness, sociability, and joy too 😊

Spring is in the Air!

We had a really nice February, despite the cold weather, and are celebrating that we've made it through another winter!
Yes, that's right.... Spring comes this month! Yahoo!
We can't wait to spend more time outside in our beautiful courtyard and start planning some outings at the park!

This month, we're excited to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Irish culture with a special evening on Friday the 14th. We will also be starting seeds, transplanting indoor plants, and preparing for our upcoming spring auction and plant sales! You'll hear about it next month! If you'd like to be involved in all we do to look forward to Spring, then come on down for a visit!

BBRRRRRR! Our Alberta Winters are long...
We have been staying warm together and living the EDEN way by spreading joy and love throughout our home! We’ve kept lively through the cold with lots of activities, exercise, painting and crafts, music, armchair travel and games.
Another BINGO comes this Family Friday! & Now everyday we enjoy BINGO as we have started our daily BINGO with a 50/50 cash prize!!! Otherwise, January was a great month for doing puzzles, cozying up with a nice book, and enjoying the live musicians that came to bring us joy.
Come visit us in February as we celebrate LOVE, sing Karaoke together, have a “Pal”entine’s movie-in-the-theatre evening, enjoy more live music with a Romantic Violin Dinner on the 14th, and celebrate Birthdays at the end of the month!
Thank you to our friends and family who continue to keep us warm through these cold winter months! See you soon!

It's so hard to believe we're already 10 days into the New Year!

We hope you and your loved ones had a wonderful time over the holidays, just as we did bringing in the New Year together in Drayton Valley.

Don't miss our first 2025 monthly recreation calendar (here it is)! Come join us near the end of the month for Live Music at our Monthly Birthday party! We are also looking forward to procuring our own resident made art gallery soon. More fun things to come.
