Happy NP Week to these three amazing NP's! We are so grateful that you are a part of our team!

November 9-15, 2025 is Nurse Practitioner Week in Canada, recognizing the vital contribution that Nurse Practitioners (NPs) make to patients and our healthcare system every day.

NPs are nurses with extended education, who are able to assess, diagnose, prescribe, monitor and provide education to their patients.

Through the Dryden Area Family Health Team , NPs provide primary care services to patients for a wide range of health concerns and conditions. Additionally, DRHC has NPs in the Emergency Department, helping to ensure more patients can be seen and receive the care they need more quickly.

Thank you to all Nurse Practitioners for everything they do to care for patients!

🩺 Who's Eligible for a Cervical Screening (Pap/HPV) in Ontario?

You qualify if you:

✅ Are 25 or older
✅ Have a cervix (includes women, Two-Spirit, transmasc, and nonbinary people)
✅ Have had sexual contact
✅ Have OHIP

Ontario now uses HPV testing every 5 years for most people. Even if you're not currently sexually active or had the HPV vaccine, you may still be due!
