SOMEONE IS IN THE POOL at Dugald Place! Pool construction is moving full speed ahead, the deep end is deep, and it’s exciting to see it all come together.

Inside, every unit is designed to feel bright and open, with large windows that flood the space with natural light. These photos highlight a spacious corner suite, sleek patio doors leading to Juliet balconies, and beautiful views overlooking Dugald Estates.

It’s all starting to take shape!

"The tarps are coming down, all the windows are almost in, the community pool is enclosed, and the electrical, plumbing and drywall work are well underway. Dugald Place is coming to life after a long, cold winter of construction. 95 people on the waitlist for the fall opening."

"Construction is on schedule with about 100 trades people in the building on any given day, inside and outside, in all kinds of weather, working hard to bring Dugald Place to life. The progress inside and outside is ramping up, with the Community Pool building getting closed in and drywall going up in the suites in the residence. RM of Springfield and Dugald Place Board Members toured recently and gave a thumbs up to the new Community Pool. Springfield Heritage Housing is grateful for the skill and dedication of Bird Construction, MMP Architects and everyone making a contribution to build Dugald Place Assisted Living Residence & Community Pool."

Here are the latest drone pictures from Bird Construction taken on November 26, 2025. The building is is up and in the process of being closed in. The pool building and linkway from Dugald Estates to Dugald Place is also well underway. Great Fall weather has kept the project on time!

The attached site update photos were provided today by Bird Construction. They show that the first and second floor hollow core is complete and grouted. As well, Bird is well underway with the third floor. They also poured the slab for the link between Dugald Estates and Dugald Place today, along with the pool building slab.😀
