👋 Join us in welcoming Kate to the clinic for her Graduate clinical placement at Start Line!

👩‍🎓 Kate is a second year UBC physical therapy student at the Vancouver campus, originally from Kamloops, BC. She completed her undergrad in Kinesiology at UBC.

📚 Kate’s previous experience includes personal training, assisting with strength and conditioning  for varsity athletes, and volunteering in private neuro physiotherapy with a focus on spinal cord injury and stroke. She is excited to help her patients feel better and move better so they can get back to doing the things that give them meaning.

🏐 Kate enjoys beach volleyball, tennis, reading, and long walks and hikes along the beach (but seriously).

👋 Join us in welcoming Brandon Craipley PT to the Start Line team!

Brandon is originally from Alberta and completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ottawa, where he worked at a sports clinic and discovered a passion for long-distance running. He continued to pursue this interest while earning his Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario, competing in several long-distance races along the way. In addition to his clinical training, Brandon has completed advanced courses in running analysis and performance optimization, deepening his expertise in helping runners of all levels improve efficiency, prevent injuries, and enhance performance.

Outside the clinic, Brandon continues to compete in long-distance running events, including marathons, and is currently training for his first Ironman 70.3 in Victoria. He also enjoys CrossFit, pickleball, skiing, travelling, hiking, and spending time with his dogs.

Our team spent an amazing day learning in clinic from the one and only Dr Bahram Jam PT FCAMPT on the foot and ankle complex!

We dove deeper into assessment, evaluation and treatment protocols for patients with persistent foot and ankle pain syndromes, and put our heads together on how to better our outcomes!
