My new kitten has officially appointed himself Assistant Massage Therapist… and Ella is his first (very patient) client 😂🐱💆‍♀️🐶

He’s out here doing tiny kneading, gentle paw-pressions, and what I can only describe as feline cranial-sacral work.
Meanwhile Ella is like: “Yes sir, continue.” 💀

If only all Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapy sessions came with purrs, biscuits, and the new intern who thinks he runs the place.

I am Canadian, a free Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship God in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, free to choose those who govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.

What Is Osteopathic Therapy?
Osteopathy is a type of manual therapy that promotes healing by focusing on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, and connective tissues all work together. Gentle movements are used by manual osteopathic practitioners to address issues with the spine, joints, muscles, organs, fascia, and fluids. It is the detection and reversal of mechanical and physiological shifts that occur over time.

They provide full Massage and Osteopathic Treatments for everyone; they choose a treatment plan in collaboration with the client. ❤️

You can find them in Saltair and at the Whippletree Junction.

We love sharing the science behind the success! Here's a look at how a session with Meagan Myislandmo changed the game for a 65-year-old client dealing with moderate chronic discomfort in his back, hips, shoulders, and wrists, as well as regulate elevated blood pressure.

The Challenge: A life of old injuries had created significant compensations. Our postural assessment revealed a body working hard to stay upright: a forward left hip, an elevated right ilium, a high left shoulder, and significant restrictions in his wrist mobility (flexion, extension, supination, and deviation).

The Treatment: We addressed these imbalances using a multi-faceted approach, including specific osteo-articulation adjustments, muscle energy techniques, and a special focus on the Vagus nerve to balance the C1/C2 region. Gentle fascial release, cervical traction, and cranial work helped the body move toward homeostasis.
The power of osteopathy is in using hands for both detailed assessment and targeted treatment. We guide the body to heal itself—no prescriptions or surgeries required.

Today is the day we recognize as the anniversary of A. T. Still opening the American School of Osteopathy. There are some conflicting records, but it is generally agreed the school opened in the Fall of 1892. In his book Lengthening Shadows, A. G. Hildreth, a member of the first class, states, “On the morning of October 3, 1892, at ten o’clock, Dr. A. T. Still and Dr. William Smith began teaching the handful of men and women who were assembled there to study osteopathy.” (page 30)
