Children often grieve alone. Parents and guardians may not know how to help. Cowichan Hospice Grief Services has a new program for grieving children:

When Someone Very Special Dies Children’s Grief Group

For ages 6-8 years old and 9-12 years old

6 weekly sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 4-5:15pm at the Cowichan Hospice Community Offices located at 3122 Gibbins Road in Duncan beginning March 26th through to April 30th.
Please register by March 14th.

This is a courtesy post on behalf of the Cowichan District Hospital Indigenous Food Project.

The Cowichan District Hospital Indigenous Foods Project want to hear what food Indigenous members would like to be served when they find themselves at the new Cowichan District Hospital. We will have people on hand to help our guests fill out our survey and answer any questions about the project. To show our gratitude we will be supplying many door prizes as well as the first 100 guests who fill out our survey will receive an Indian Taco lunch prepared by King Diaz Catering.

Tum’tem: February 2, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm
Untsu: Si’em Lelum Gymnasium, 5574 River Road, Duncan

For those who cannot make it to the gathering we would like to encourage you to fill out our online survey to help us ensure this project is community driven. As a show of gratitude we will also be drawing prizes for those who fill out the survey online, the online prize draw will take place on March 31, 2025, and all winners will be contacted by email.
