Meet the carbide ball bur family 👣✨

When it comes to carbide ball burs, I’m a big believer that a lot of it comes down to personal preference. You can do beautiful work with the size you already love and own— but it’s always nice to have a few options to choose from.

Some nurses prefer a smaller size for precision, some like a little more surface area and teeth, and sometimes you just know when a burr feels right 😄

That’s why I’ve expanded the lineup at Longevity Foot Care.

Warehouse cleanout win 🙌

As I’ve been emptying out the warehouse, I’ve been amazed at how many products were tucked away in corners and never even made it onto the website 😅

Which means… they weren’t even available to all my lovely customers. Oops.

If you’re still fighting sanding bands off your mandrel… this one’s for you 👀

I just brought in a small batch of 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨, and honestly… they’re a LOT nicer to work with than the standard style.

If you’ve ever had a sanding band get stuck on a regular mandrel and ended up twisting, prying, or even soaking it off 😅 …you already know the struggle.

These are much easier to release — especially if you leave the mandrel in the chuck for a better grip and then just give the band a tug.

Quick heads-up about our Ruby Callus Burr 👣

If you’ve ordered the Ruby Callus Remover / Ruby Callus Burr recently and noticed it arrived silver instead of ruby/red… don’t worry — you were not sent the wrong item 😊

Here’s what happened:

The manufacturer has advised that they are no longer able to source the materials needed to produce the original ruby-coloured version, so the burr is now being made with diamond instead.

✅ Same grit
✅ Same intended performance
✅ Still working beautifully
❗ Just a different material and appearance

So if you receive one that looks silver, that is now the updated version of the product.

I’ll be updating the website listing as well so everything matches going forward, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew what was up in the meantime 💛

How is this for dedication. 🤭 With the warehouse in a bit of a mix due to this weeks move, I decided to spent the greater part of the day yesterday inspecting, touching up, scrubbing, lubricating and re-sterilizing 100s of used instruments, so I could offer them to you as soon as possible. ✨

Used equipment does not come up every day, so if you’ve been wanting to add to your tool kit without paying full retail… this is your time.

Shipping in Canada is expensive — there’s no way around that.

My website uses calculated carrier rates. Most of the time they’re accurate. Occasionally, they overestimate.

𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙢𝙚.

If the shipping looks higher than it should be, 𝑰 𝒓𝙚𝒇𝙪𝒏𝙙 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙙𝒊𝙛𝒇𝙚𝒓𝙚𝒏𝙘𝒆. I’m always on your side when it comes to costs, and I work hard to keep things fair.

In fact, more often than not, I end up undercharging for shipping and simply absorb the difference. That’s part of doing business with integrity.

My “Offloading Essentials for Nurses” hands-on workshop was full of learning, laughter, and some amazing dedicated nurses. Teaching in person always reminds me how powerful and practical, hands on education is.

This group gave me the feedback and encouragement I needed to push through the final stages of my upcoming online course, Offloading Essentials: Clinical Foundations for Nurses. 🙌🏻 A comprehensive reference of materials and applications for foot care nurses.

I’m more motivated than ever to get it across the finish line!
