This toe was in rough shape. 🫣

During my monthly volunteer shift at the shelter, a client came in with a deep, painful fissure across the great toe — thick callus, visible cracks, and a whole lot of risk for infection. I used my usual kit (plus a few donated bits and pieces) to clean it up and get it stable for healing. 💪🩹

This is foot care in action — thinking on your feet, using what you’ve got, and still holding the bar high. ✨

🦶🎥 New Video: Earning Trust, One Foot at a Time

This part of 𝐨u𝐫 work — showing up with a kit and a listening ear — is something I hold close. It’s not always about dramatic results or perfect lighting. It is about the process: sitting down with someone who’s lived a hard life, reading the room, and slowly, building enough trust to be allowed into their space — and eventually, to provide the care their feet need.

In this video, I’m treating one of the shelter clients from last months volunteer work. The footage is a bit raw — the camera’s just balanced on a bench beside me. But you’ll hear the BRRRRs, see the care unfold, and catch pieces of his story. His voice might be quiet, but his words? Let’s just say they’re not what you’d hear at a dinner party.

So no, it’s not polished. But it’s real — and it’s a glimpse into a part of foot care that doesn’t always get talked about: the trust behind the treatment. ❤️
