Quick reminder for anyone working at a desk today:

Your back doesn’t need perfect posture.

It needs movement.

Sitting still for too long = stiffness + pain.

Try this simple routine:
✔ Change how you sit every so often
✔ Stand up before your back starts to ache
✔ Stretch overhead for a few seconds when you get up

These tiny habits add up—and your back will feel it.

Have you noticed your back getting stiff during the day? And what do you do about it?

Even a good thing can become a problem if we do too much of it.

Sitting too long.
Standing too long.
Repeating the same task all day.

Your spine needs variety.

Change positions often. Switch tasks. Keep things moving.

Small changes add up to fewer flare-ups.

Your back feeling good doesn’t mean it’s invincible.

To keep it feeling good:
• Don’t revert to old habits
• Use moderation and variety
• Keep up your spine stability exercises
• Walk daily
• Avoid spine power

Your spine supports you every day—return the favor.

Do you ever have it that your back feels great…
…and then it slowly starts acting up again?

It’s usually not bad luck—it’s old habits sneaking back in.

If something irritated your back before, it’s probably still a problem now—even if you feel fine today.

Stick with the habits that helped you recover. Your future back will thank you.

If core exercises haven’t helped your back pain, try pressing pause on them — temporarily.

Instead focus on:
• Removing pain triggers
• Cleaning up daily movement habits
• Using your spine in ways it tolerates

Once the pain subsides, you can return to the core exercises.

This surprises people, but sometimes “core exercises” actually make back pain worse. Why?• Improper exercises• Poor techn...

This surprises people, but sometimes “core exercises” actually make back pain worse.

Why?
• Improper exercises
• Poor technique
• Losing form when tired

Not just any core exercise will do. The right one, at the right time makes all the difference.

Quick thought about back pain 👇

Most chronic back pain isn’t from weak muscles.

It’s from irritating the same sensitive spot over and over — through sitting, bending, twisting, or lifting.

No amount of exercise overrides irritation that never stops.

❄️ Snow Shoveling Tip #4

Your legs are some of the strongest muscles in your body — use them.

You can:
• Let your leg help lift the shovel
• Use your leg as a pivot point for the shovel

Good technique goes a long way for your back.

Thanks for following along — hope these tips help you shovel a little easier this winter. ❄️

❄️ Snow Shoveling Tip #3

Twisting while shoveling or lifting snow can be tough on your back.

Instead:
• Face the direction you’re working
• Push snow straight ahead
• Turn with your hips and feet when you need to change direction

❄️ Snow Shoveling Tip #2

Where you hold the shovel matters more than you might think.

Keeping the shovel centered and pointing toward your belly button reduces the stress on your back compared to holding it off to the side.

❄️ Snow Shoveling Tip #1

When shoveling snow, move with your hips, not your back.

Bend at your hips instead of rounding your lower back, and twist with your hips rather than twisting through your spine.

👉 Keep an eye out for the next snow shoveling tip in a few days.
